Subject: • Langton lights up "Life" for NBC
Brooke Langton, who had a recurring role on the NBC drama "Friday Night Lights," will co-star on the network's upcoming drama series "Life."

"Life" centers on a falsely imprisoned cop (Damian Lewis) who rejoins the force as a changed man. Langton will play the lawyer who got him out of prison. There's a spark between the two characters despite the fact that she's married.

Langton replaces Melissa Sagemiller, who played the part in the pilot.
