Criminal Incriminated - Recap

The scene opens with Cate and Ryan waking up and Baze gets up for his first day on the job and Math tells that it is his first day of teaching basketball for the JV Woman’s Team. Cate and Ryan are in the kitchen and there is no milk, food, or things in their box. She tells that Paige has got to go and Ryan tells that she will wake up. On their way out, Cate grabs some banana bread. Baze comes over to pick up Lux after Cate and Ryan leave and wakes up Paige. He tells that he knows that she burned down the bar and she is going to have to pay out $10,000 to get the bar repaired. She tells that she doesn’t have it and he tells that she can’t go to Ryan about it. Lux comes downstairs and Baze gives her a basketball. He wants her to play on the team.

At the school, Baze tries to teach her how to play and she tells that she is no good at it. Baze walks into his new job and sets up his desk. His boss, Emma, comes out and tells that he is late and that she doesn’t want to hear about his personal life and neither do the clients. At the radio station, Cate is feeling really happy about the show and tells that she heard a clicking noise in Kelly’s voice when they were on the air. She sits down and tells that her tongue is heavy and Ryan realizes that the banana bread that Cate has been eating this entire time is laced with marijuana. Back with Baze and Emma, Baze walks in with coffee and Emma tells that she just had two celebrities cancel and they don’t have any replacements. Baze tells that he can get Andre Miller and Marcus Camby from the Trailblazers. Baze gets a call from Cate and she tells that she needs to get un-high. Baze asks if she is near a bathtub and she tells that she isn’t. Baze tells that he can’t help her. Cate is listening to Kelly talk and makes a rude comment about her with the mic button pushed. Corporate Offices are on the phone for Cate and they are not happy.

Lux is at basketball practice and she goes up to Jones and she asks for advice and tells that basketball is not her thing. Jones asks her out for pizza and she tells that she has to study. She overhears a couple kids talking about the answers being in the test already and Lux tells Jones that she’ll go out for pizza. At the studio, Cate tells what corporate said and tells that viewers can’t view Kelly as what she said. Cate tells that Lux could have eaten the pot loaf. Meanwhile, Baze is trying to get in contact with Marcus and Andre and there is no chance. He calls up Cate and asks if she can get Ryan and Kelly will show up at a golf tournament. She tells that it would be good for them. Lux comes downstairs and tells that she is going out for pizza and the Chinese food delivery boy is there. She asks if Lux needs money and she tells that she doesn’t. Cate looks and sees that $300 is missing from her wallet. Lux meets with Jones and sees the kids that are going to cheat as well. She tells that she is thirsty and while he goes to get the sodas, Lux sneaks over and gives money for the test.

At dinner, Cate tells Ryan that $300 is missing from her purse and she suspects that Paige took it. Ryan asks Paige if she took it and she shrugs it off and tells that she has not seen the money. Cate is shocked that Ryan is going to believe her and Ryan suggests Cate ask Lux. She is offended at the thought of it and tells that she won’t do it. Ryan tells that it wouldn’t be fair. Baze is working and Emma walks with Bruce Jackson and Baze tells that Kelly and Ryan are going to be there and Bruce tells that Baze should come out too. Lux gets home and Cate asks if she took the $300 and Lux laughs and says that she has been doing everything they have said and even joined the basketball team. She is offended and leaves upstairs. The next day at the golf tournament, Cate and Ryan are there with Kelly and Baze comes up to make sure everything is alright when Cate and Ryan have a little moment. Paige goes up to Baze and gives him $300 and tells that is all she has until she can get a job. Emma sees the exchange and wants to know what is going on. He tells her that it was nothing. There is a sudden scream. They rush to see Kelly on the ground and her telling that Cate hit her with the golf ball. Cate tells that she will fill the shoes.

Test time at school with Lux and she pulls out the cheater’s test. Math sees the cheating right away and is shocked when Lux’s test is one of them. Jones is shocked as well. Back on the golf course, Ryan and Cate are still arguing over the fact that Ryan doesn’t view Lux as their daughter and that he can’t believe that Paige took the $300. Baze tells them to stop and informs them that Paige gave him $300 just now. Ryan wants to know why Paige would give him money. He admits that she burned down his bar and they find out that he slept with her. Ryan gets upset and Cate and Ryan turn on Baze, but he defends himself. They turn around and everyone is looking at them. Bruce tells that he is just going to finish now. Paige comes up in Ryan’s car and he tells her that she needs to get out of the house and tells that he defended her even though she stole. She asks where she is going to go and Ryan tells that he doesn’t care. Meanwhile, Baze meets Bruce in a bar and tells that it is not Emma’s fault and tells that she will be great with his portfolio so he can sleep easy. He admits that he wanted to prove something, but tells that he can’t hide who he is.

At the house, Paige is leaving and she tells that she is sorry that she stole her money and tells that Cate got what she wanted and she insults Cate and tells that she doesn’t have a leg to stand on and tells that she is not different. Cate and Baze go to Lux’s school and meet with Math. Cate tells that she is upset with her and they argue. Lux gets up and tells that she has never had anyone care about her, but tells that she is not them and it is not working. She leaves. Later at the burned down bar, Math walks in and finds Lux. He tells that she only has detention and the school is going to give her a tutor. She tries to make an excuse and Math tells that Lux wants to be like Cate and Baze, but she can’t. Paige comes over and takes the room for rent and Baze tells that he will kill Paige if she burns down the loft too. Lux comes in and tells Baze that she wants him to teach her. Ryan and Cate make up and Ryan reminisces of how Paige was always a liar and Cate tells that they always are going to give people they love second and third chances.

Baze is at work and Emma tells that Bruce Jackson called and tells that Baze’s honesty was refreshing. Emma is jealous that Baze got the client quickly and she apologizes that she told him to lie and gives him a couple hours to be late for Lux. At school, Lux talks to Jones and he tells that he wants to start a relationship with her. She tells that it could happen. Lux walks into class and realizes that her new tutor is Eric Daniels. The episode ends with Ryan putting up a basketball hoop in the yard and Baze comes over and tells that he is going to be teaching Lux how to play basketball. Cate and Ryan walk up to Baze and give him $10,000 for Paige’s mess up. They all have fun and team-up to play some basketball. Ryan suggests it be guys versus girls and says that Baze and he will be on the same team for once.
