But when they start to evaluate it, they have a lot of discrepancies. Cate tells that she is going to take Ryan’s advice and ask Kelly out on a date. At the basketball court, Math is trying to motivate the team and Tasha gets hit in the face with a ball. Baze tells that they are going against a team that is better but what they need is a winner’s attitude. He motivates them all and tells them to practice hard. Math is not optimistic until they see Tasha shoot the basketball. They get her on the team. Lux and Tasha are walking to Tasha’s foster home and a woman named Valerie, who Lux recognizes, comes out. She tells that she needs to go. Cate meets Kelly for drinks and Kelly agrees to sit down and allow Cate to buy drinks.
Math seems a little bit more optimistic of the game and Baze tells him to take a chance with Paige and ask her on a date. He gets enough courage and does it. He gets a yes and they go out. At the station, Kelly comes in and gives Cate a bagel and she gives him the script. They start the show and Ryan talks about how sex solves everything. Kelly starts to spill the secrets of Cate and Ryan disagreeing over finance and kids. Cate tries to stop Kelly from spilling the secret but she is too late. Meanwhile, Math is happy in the apartment and tells that his date with Paige was amazing and he got a kiss at the end of the night. Paige comes out after Math leaves and tells that her date was horrible. She had to kiss him to end the date. Baze tells her that she needs to break it off and she asks Baze to do it for her.

Lux comes in and hears the whole thing and hears that Ryan doesn’t want to have Tasha live with them. He tells that he wants kids and if Cate doesn’t want kids, then he doesn’t know why he is married to her. Later at the game, the girls are playing bad and Baze is frustrated at the fact that he is going to have to tell a happy Math that Paige is not into him. As the team loses more and more, Baze tells Math that he can’t see Paige anymore. Math tells that Baze has to have everything and that he can’t have anything. Cate comes in the game and tells that she wants to talk to Ryan. He agrees and they go under the bleachers to talk. Cate tells that she thought Lux was enough for Ryan and he tells that he is the side liner and will never be the father for Lux as Baze is. He tells that he wants a child of his own with Cate. She agrees.
They come back out to the game and the team is already loosing by 40 and there is no chance of scoring. Lux is put into the team and she is hit in the face with the ball. Baze is about to get Tasha in and Math tells another girl in instead. Baze tells that he can be mad at him but not to take it out on the team. Tasha asks about the move-in and Lux tells that Ryan doesn’t want her in the house. The half is over and the team goes to the locker room. Lux is also honest with Tasha and tells that she stayed with Valerie once and that it got bad while she lived there. It was nice at the beginning but it didn’t stay like that. They hug is out and the team go out and have fun and Tasha scores a 3 pointer. Despite losing the game 53 to 3, they are happy that they had fun.
