Honeymoon Interrupted - Recap

The scene opens with Eric coming out of a room and Lux tells that the walls are not soundproof from him and Paige. At work, Blaze comes into Emma’s office and gives her a CD from the concert. However, she is all business and shows no interest in him at all. Meanwhile, Cate tells Ryan that they are going on a “staycation” and she tells that she already packed his bag. Baze calls and tells that he needs her advice. He tells that Emma and he hit it off and now she doesn’t want to acknowledge that there was something there. She tells that he needs to get her alone. Baze remembers of a retreat that Emma is going on. Jack, Baze’s dad walks by and Baze asks if he can go to the retreat with them to be able to catch up. Jack agrees and tells that he can come. At school Lux shows that she got an F on her “Outsiders” test and tells that Eric is not helping at all. She tells that she is quitting tutoring with Eric and leaves. Meanwhile, Ryan and Cate get to the hotel and find out that Baze is there too for the retreat.

They get in their room and flop on the bed. There is a knock on the door and Cate tells that it is her caviar and champagne that she ordered. However, when she opens the door, it is Baze. He tells that he needs to switch rooms with them because Emma is in the next hotel room and Cate told Baze to follow with his instincts. Cate and Ryan agree and they move to another room, which is a lot bigger too. Ryan puts the bags down and screams in pain. He is having back spasms. Meanwhile at the bar, Paige is watching Lux and tells that she is in charge. She gives Lux an Apple Martini. There is a knock on the door. It is Eric. Paige invited Eric over to help Lux with her tutoring and he tells that they are going to watch the Outsiders. He tells her that he emailed Math to give you a retake on the test. Lux doesn’t feel too happy about it. Back at the hotel, Baze knocks on the adjoining door. A man answers the door and Baze is confused. He tells that he though his boss was in the room. Emma shows up behind the man and introduces him as Steve.

Cate gets Ryan pills for his back and he tells that not going home until he gets some baby-making time. They look at wedding photos and they stop on one where Ryan is talking to someone. Ryan tells that he doesn’t remember and then tells that it is his parents’ friend, Julia. He tries to get her off the subject and stats to pick a fight about Baze. He tells that it is his back and Cate leaves to get him some ice. The scene flashbacks to Ryan knocking on Julia’s door and he is drunk. He tells that he and Cate broke up and he came over to see her. They start kissing and then get “busy”. Outside, Baze bumps into Emma and asks why Emma didn’t mention Steve before. Steve comes up and Jack introduces a couple to Baze. Steve tells that he works for Morgan Stanley and tells that they are the best in the quarter, but Baze shoots that down and tells that another company has better. Jack tells that Emma was never good with numbers.

Back at Baze’s, Lux and Eric talk about the Outsiders and Lux is telling about the movie. Eric tells that he doesn’t see how she failed the test if she knows it all. She gets upset and tells that she doesn’t want to take the test over and have him as a tutor anymore. She leaves and Eric follows. Cate calls Paige and asks to speak to Lux. She tells that she is doing her homework. Cate asks who Julia is and Paige lets it slip that she was Ryan’s ex-girlfriend. In the hotel room, Ryan is looking at the pictures more and another flashback where Ryan has the rings and sees Julia. He gets in her car and she tells that she might be pregnant. She tells that there is no reason to tell Cate. He goes inside and pretends like nothing happened. At the bar, Lux and Eric shout at each other and he tells that tutoring is the only time he can spend time with her without it being wrong. He tells that he doesn’t want to give up getting to know her. Back at the hotel, Cate walks in and tells that she knows about Julia. He tells that Julia and him had sex with each other when they were broken up and she showed up to tell that she might be pregnant. The scene flashbacks to Ryan talking to Lux and telling that if she doesn’t want him to, he will wait, but Lux tells that she wants him to marry Cate. Julia walks up and tells that it was a false alarm. Cate asks if Julia was pregnant, would he call off the wedding. Ryan doesn’t know.

Baze meets Emma at the pool and asks where Steve is and Baze apologizes to her about outing Steve like he did. Baze tells that Jack is that type of person that beats you down. He offers to get Emma a drink. He grabs some champagne and Emma says that she is glad with Baze at the retreat. He goes in to kiss her, but she tells that it is wrong to do. Baze knocks on Ryan and Cate’s hotel and Ryan tells that Cate went home. He tells that they got into an argument about getting together with the ex is not good. Thinking he is talking about him and Cate, he admits that Cate had feelings for Baze. Ryan is shocked. Afterward, Baze calls Cate and tells that he sabotaged things for her. He sees Steve get in a car and Steve kisses another guy. He goes to Emma’s room and she tells that she has her friend be her date to pretend that she is in a committed relationship.

The next day, Eric tells that she wasn’t the only one making things personal and he tells that he can help her and tells that she might have a learning disability and will help her. She agrees. At Cate and Ryan’s house, Ryan comes in and tells that he is not the only one with the secret and she tells that it was nothing. Back at Baze’s Paige comes in and tells that Eric broke up with her and that he told her that he has feelings for someone else. Cate comes to see Baze and tells that it was her fault for saying what she did. Baze goes into Emma’s office and tells that he is going into the relationship with her no matter what. They kiss. Lux and Cate talk and she tells that everything is going to be alright. She tells that she is going to bike to school today. Cate sees the vase that Julia gave them and smashes it. A happy Lux goes into Eric’s classroom and finds out that a new tutor has been assigned to her.
