Plumber Cracked - Recap

The scene opens with Cate doing laundry and her phone rings. Paige comes in and asks what Cate is doing. She picks up that she is trying to pry into Ryan’s business by looking into his phone. She tells that she needs to try his email next. Cate tries to ask Paige about Julia, but she is tight lipped. Meanwhile, Baze and Emma are in Baze’s truck kissing. Her phone rings. She tells that a pipe burst in her apartment and she has to go. Cate and Lux go to Tasha’s apartment and Cate has gotten her groceries to help get her on her feet in her new apartment. She tells that she will give Tasha a credit card to use for emergencies. Cate leaves and Eric comes out of the bathroom. Tasha leaves and tells them that they should be careful of what they are doing.

Cate and Ryan go to couple’s therapy and she tells that she wants them to do an exercise and be honest with one another. They both agree. Baze gets home and is attacked by NERF balls by Math and old friend, Jamie. He tries to call Emma and has a guy answer the phone. He is confused and tells him to have Emma call him back. Meanwhile, Eric and Lux are in a different town where they can hold hands. They are about to go to a coffee shop and Eric realizes that his wallet is gone. Baze gets to Emma’s apartment and she tells that Baze can’t go around like a jealous boyfriend. Baze thought he had something with Emma and tells that if she wants to see other people, then he can too. Ryan gets home and Cate and him avoid the “honesty” activity that their marriage counselor gave them. Cate asks about Julia and he avoids the questioning and tells that he is going out with Paige.

Meanwhile, Lux and Eric are stuck in an unknown town with $12. Lux sees a wedding reception and they decide to take on alter-egos Sarah and Jon. Inside the wedding they start having a fun time dancing and eating. At Baze’s, Math, Jamie and Baze are watching “Mama Mia” and drinking every time that they sing. Ryan tells that they are single and should be hitting the town. He tells that Paige that he needs a break from the talking and nagging and wants to have a “guys night out”. At Cate’s house, Cate is reading Ryan’s emails and Paige comes in and catches her. Cate offers Paige $100 to tell everything about Julia. She tells that she won’t do it. Cate offers to buy her drinks at a bar to “get to know her”. She agrees to go. At the bar, Cate asks for the hard stuff to start the night. At Baze’s, Ryan is having fun acting like one of the guys and he gets a call from Paige telling that he needs to get down to the bar and curtail Cate who has drunk herself too drunk. Ryan suggests that the party continue at the bars.

Back in the other town, Lux and Eric lose track of time and forget to catch the last ferry back to where they live. Lux calls up Tasha and asks for the credit card number to Cate’s card. Tasha reluctantly agrees and gives it to her. The boys get to the bar and Ryan finds Cate on the pool table drunk. She gets up and tells that she will continue being humiliating until Ryan tells her about Julia. He ignores her and she walks off. In the hotel room, Lux and Eric talk and Eric tells that what they are doing is wrong and it shouldn’t happen the way it is. Back at the bar, Baze talks to Ryan and tells that he was telling Baze to forget about Emma when it is clear that he didn’t forget about Cate. In the parking lot, Ryan tells that he was with Julia for 3 years and it ended when Ryan proposed to Julia and she said no to him. He tells that he has a little bit of feelings left. He tries to backfire with her and Baze and she tells that Ryan knew what was going with her and Baze the entire time. She walks off to call a cab.

Baze runs to Emma’s house and yells that she doesn’t care if she is with another man, she needs to be with him and he is not giving up. The door opens up and it is the man who answered the phone. Emma tells that he is her son, Sam. She tells that he needs to leave. The next morning, Cate gets a call from the bank of a hotel room charge on her account. Lux is back from the other town and walks up with Tasha. Baze and Cate are there and tell about the hotel charge. Tasha and Lux talk in the car and she tells that they can’t find out about Eric. Baze and Cate get in the car and Tasha tells that she met a guy and got a hotel room with him. Cate tells that it was irresponsible and takes away the card, no basketball, and no going over to Jones’s house. Tasha is not happy. Later, Ryan and Cate tell that the honesty activity was not good. They get to the bottom of the fact that Ryan pushed hard because he didn’t want to have her say no like Julia did. The marriage counselor suggests that they separate for a little bit.

Emma goes over to Baze’s and she tells that she is sorry that she didn’t tell Baze about Sam and tells that he was a problem child that was shifted off to boarding school and dropped off last week at her doorstep by his deadbeat father. Baze tells that he knows about that and tells that it doesn’t matter. He asks if there are any more secrets and she tells that she is falling in love with Baze and Baze tells that he is falling in love with Emma. Later at Tasha’s aparement, Lux thanks Tasha again and she tells her that she is not interested. She sits down with Eric and tells that she wants their relationship to move forward and that she likes the risks of it all. He agrees and they kiss. Baze cleans up his place when there is someone at the door. It is Ryan who tells Baze that he still owes him one. The door closes and the episode ends.
