.. yet another story in which a non-bad man isn't told he fathered a daughter because the mother "thought she knew best" / "didn't want to bother him", and so denying him 15 years of fatherhood; then after finding out he is supposed to immediately be fine with news and with the mothers deception and not express any anger at those lost 15 years - cos if it is then even with Ms Shiri in the series I'ma gonna stay well clear.

Those kinda stories really grind-my-gears.

I'm going to say "no it's not." I'm enjoying this not too sweet, not too cynical show.

I've watched the first 2 episodes now and I think the writers have clearly sketched out the characters to make it clear that neither of them were qualified to raise a child at 16. They both fear commitment, and neither of them are familiar with the concept of putting someone else first.

also, I like the fact that they haven't made this teenager too intellectual. she's street smart, but still has things to learn.

if they continue to handle everyone's growth well, I'll continue to watch...
