I remember hearing Ben and other UK members talk about this a long time ago, and now, ads are appearing for this on ABC. It looks interesting, so I might check it out.

How about you?

The UK version was great. I'm not so sure about an American version though.. I plan to watch the first episode and from that make my judgment about watching the rest or not.

I agree, the UK version was awesome, hopefully the US version will be good. Like you, I plan on watching the first episode and make my decision from there.

I'm not at all familiar with the UK show, but the leaked pilot wasn't that great. However, they recast Annie and Gene (though I had more of a problem with Sam than anyone else), so maybe the episode will be better.

Didn't Michael Imperioli get cast as Ray Carling?

War is God's way of teaching Americans geography.

I've never seen the UK version, but I wasn't too overly thrilled with the pilot. It wasn't terrible, it just didn't grab me. But with recasts it might be better.

I think so. He'll forever be Christopher to me, though.

Well, here's another nice mess you've gotten me into!

I loved the UK version and am watching the US version. The best thing about the UK show was, it was only 16 episodes over 2 seasons, hopefully the US version won't be any longer, I can imagine if it takes too long for Sam to get answers, people will stop watching.

So I hope they will do it like in the UK, where they gave it a sequel in the form of Ashes to Ashes and moved on to the 80ties.

I am not liking this show anywhere near as much as I had hoped I would! I love Jason O'Mara and I wanted a show of his to work, but I'm not at all sure I'm going to stick with it. I know everyone seems to love Michael Imperiole so much, but he is the main thing I dislike about the show. I hardly ever stop watching a show, but...

well - i liked the US version as well as the UK one - why u might ask - HARVEY KEITEL of course - the plot is a little different, it is well written and adapted (New-York-ized) the cast is great and the last episode leads to a conclusion with really wired twist (Lynch or Fincher worthy)

so in contrary to most (but of course not all) - US adaptions of successful UK shows - i really liked that one very much ....

cheers ahab666

Yes, this was a pretty good series finale. Much better than I've learned to expect. A surprise, but an actual conclusion.

Just got round to watching the US version the other day. To put it mildly, I wasn't impressed.
