Danielle Rousseau, played by Mira Furlan
Danielle is one of the inhabitants of the island. She claims that she has been there for about 16 years. She was on the island on a science expedition with other scientists including her husband. She claims to have killed all the scientists because they became sick.
On the island, she gave birth to a child, Alex, who was kidnapped by the Others. Danielle knows many things about the island and she had maps of the island that she personally drew.
Sayid was the first to encounter Danielle after he was caught in one of her traps inside the forest. Those traps have come in handy, as Danielle manages to capture an Other and delivers him to the survivors to extract information; they also are a source of annoyance, as Jack, Kate, and Charlie can attest.
She is a mysterious character but always seems to help the survivors. |
