Lost Girl

Lost Girl

Lost Girl follows supernatural seductress Bo, a Succubus who feeds on the sexual energy of humans. Growing up with human parents, Bo had no reason to believe she was anything other than the girl next door — until she drained her boyfriend to death in their first sexual encounter. Now she has hit the road alone and afraid.
She discovers she is one of the Fae, creatures of legend and folklore, who pass as humans while feeding off them secretly and in different ways, as they have for millennia. Relieved yet horrified to find out that she is not alone, Bo decides to take the middle path between the humans and the Fae while embarking on a personal mission to unlock the secrets of her origin.

With the help of her human sidekick, Kenzi, and Dyson, a sexy police detective, Bo takes on a challenge every week helping a Fae or human client who comes to her to solve a mystery, or to right a wrong. (Source: ShowCase)

Hooked on this showRating: 2 likes, 1 dislikes

I like this show with its different view of reality. The Fae are quite varied, yet overall fairly consistent with most folk's understanding of each type of "creature" and their "powers"/traits. While light and dark are always at odds/war with each other, there are defined rules and procedures and Bo manages to find a midpoint that allows her freedom to NOT choose a side. The show has everything - love, hate, action, adventure, sex, humor, drama, intrigue, mystery, horror, supernatural, heroes and villains and a pretty good cast. When called for, special effects are pretty cool. Overall, a fun show to get hooked on. Read more

Recaps
3x13: Those Who Wander recap: The episode begins with Bo sucking the chi out of a guard outside Isaac’s facility, so she can revive Tamsin with it, but it somehow doesn’t seem to be working. She also tries to get out of him, where Dyson is being kept, but he faints before he can reveal anything. Inside the facility, Dyson, in his glass prison, is trying to figure out a way to escape. Bo brings Tamsin to Tracey and Amanda, two of Tamsin’s fellow Valkyrie’s, who inform Bo that Tamsin has come to the end of her lifecycle and it’s not really the bullet that’s killing her... read more.

3x12: Hail, Hale recap: The episode begins with Bo and Dyson breaking into Lauren’s apartment. Bo is worried because Lauren hasn’t been answering her calls. She sees that Lauren isn’t home and has left her cell phone behind. Dyson says he will look into Lauren’s whereabouts, when he has the time, but for now, he is really busy with the new case and Hale’s inauguration. Dyson feels Bo is overreacting. He tells her that Lauren probably isn’t keeping in touch simply because she has broken up with her. At his bar, Trick’s readying things for the inauguration. He is really excited that, soon, his protégé is going to be officially elected the Ash... read more.

3x11: Adventures in Fae-bysitting recap: The episode begins with Bo and Kenzi watching a show on TV while discussing relationship issues. A woman named Lisa is babysitting, when she gets a call from Tim, the child’s father. He is on a business trip in India. He makes small talk, but shocks her when he tells her that she is looking really nice in the tank top she is wearing. Lisa is terrified, when he correctly guesses the color of the top. Soon after, she sees a man hanging by his neck from the ceiling in the living room. At that very moment, she wakes up on the couch and sees Mrs. Parker, Tim’s wife, standing over her. Lisa tells her what she saw and Mrs. Parker says that she was probably having a nightmare and reminds Lisa that Tim is on a tour... read more.

3x10: Delinquents recap: The episode begins with someone trying to break into Bo’s apartment. Kenzi and Bo get ready for whoever it is, with weapons in hand. They open the front door and find Lauren standing there breakfast in hand. She wanted to surprise Bo, but couldn’t get the front door open. Bo and Lauren discuss about the dawning and Bo says she feels like a completely different person now. A guy and a girl are romancing in the woods. The guy tells the girl to lie down and close her eyes. He puts a pair of headphones on her ears and while she is listening to some music with her eyes closed, he begins kissing her all over... read more.

3x9: Ceremony recap: The episode begins with Bo and Dyson married, in what appears to be some alternate reality. She gives him the good news that she is pregnant. Earlier, Kenzi and Bo are shown trying to catch an Ooglag, a fey that secretes pheromones. According to Stella, to gain entry into the Temple, Bo requires his pheromones. The Ooglag is fast and strong, so they are really finding it difficult to capture him. While they are at it, Bo tells Kenzi that she kissed Tamsin earlier. Lauren tells Dyson she is really worried about Bo’s dawning, and is hoping she can find some way to stop her from devolving. Bo and Kenzi enter a warehouse, looking for the Ooglag... read more.
