Love Monkey is based on the best-selling book by Kyle Smith. The show follows Tom Farrell as he attempts to navigate through his life in the music industry while also trying to survive the dating scene. Farrell had a girlfriend and a great record executive job, but some badly timed comments thrust him out into the world girlfriend-less and jobless. Tom is helped by his group of friends and his sister.
Love Monkey aired on Tuesday's at 10 pm on CBS before being pulled and placed on hiatus. After CBS canceled the series, VH1 re-aired the three episodes aired on CBS, and then aired the final five episodes.
