Christmas Comes But Once a Year - Recap

It is Christmas time for those of Mad Men. Don is not remotely happy, though. He is drinking a lot more than he usually does and is definitely wasted throughout his whole entire waking life. It isn't hard to see that he is suffering a lot. Sterling is throwing a party trying to make the heir to Lucky Strike. Unfortunately, Roger is going to really meet some serious demands thanks to that. He doesn't want to, but he is going to simply have to and he knows it.

Glenn is in Ossining and he is over Betty and trying to get with Sally. He is trying to tell her all about divorce and how to deal with having a new father simultaneously trying to destroy the Draper House. Peggy is having her own problems when it comes to love. She doesn't want to have sex with her current boyfriend and asks the advice of Freddy. He actually provides some pretty fantastic advice, but she doesn't accept it and thinks that he is too old fashioned for his own good. Then she goes elsewhere.

Don is being the worst, however. He has been rejected multiple times and has decided that he wants Allison. He is doing exactly what he had been giving Roger trouble for. The difference between Roger and Don is the fact that Don remains cold in regards to this situation. He gave her a christmas bonus, but that was more like "paying her for her services". Obviously, Don has been doing this for a while now. He is being very heartless.
