Don is sitting in his office talking on the phone.

Two sandwiches and two sodas sit on a table next to an ash tray. Sounds of love making can be heard in the background.

Don places a lamp back on the nightstand. Don lays back in bed with Faye. Don tells Faye he is already late for his meeting and asks Faye about her schedule.

Don gets up and gets dressed. Don tells Faye she can stay in the apartment and lock up when she leaves.

Roger is in his office talking on the phone about his book. His secretary buzzes him. He goes back to his phone call, but the line is dead.

Joan comes into the office to ask for signatures on papers. Joan lets Roger know that Lane will be on vacation in August. Roger tries to get Joan to go to lunch with him.

Roger apologizes to Joan.

Caroline tells Roger that Joan's husband has been called up to Vietnam.

Don walks into the reception area and Peggy tells him she needs him to sign off on some papers. Don apologizes for the long lunch. He tells Peggy she needs to come back in an hour and tells Ms. Blankenship he will be taking a nap.

Ms. Blankenship tells Peggy that this business is full of sadists and masochists.

Peggy walks into her office to find Joyce waiting for her. Rizzo makes comments about Joyce being a lesbian. Joyce makes plans with Peggy. Peggy tells Rizzo that Don has returned and they need to be ready in an hour.

Don emerges from his office and Ms. Blankenship gives him a message from Faye.

Peggy is sitting at a bar with Joyce. Abe walks in and Joyce reintroduces them. Abe joins them for a drink. Joyce leaves Peggy and Abe to sit at the bar.

Abe tells Peggy he has been interested in seeing her. Peggy orders a drink.

Joan is sitting in her apartment watching TV when her doorbell rings.

Joan answers the door to find two women who say she is to receive a massage and pedicure. Joan asks who ordered this. The women reply it was a friend and Joan allows them to come in.

Abe is talking politics with Peggy. Peggy asks Abe about his background. Peggy begins talking about her clients and Abe talks about controversy with Filmore Auto. Abe questions Peggy's ethics in her work. Peggy tells Abe that civil rights extends to women as well as blacks. Peggy leaves the bar.

Bert is doing a crossword and Ms. Blankenship is helping him. Don walks up to her and asks for coffee.

Joan walks into Roger's office and thanks him for his gift. Roger offers to take Joan out. Joan refuses.

Peggy walks in to reception and Abe is waiting for her. Abe hands her something he has written and asks her to read it.

Faye is leading a meeting about bringing in a new demographic to the auto parts stores. The execs from Filmore argue over the direction of the account.

Ken, Don and Faye look on as they argue.

Don tells them they need to focus on strategy.

Ken offers a mix of two strategies.

Don asks what the execs would like to focus in on.
Ken says both are possible.

Megan walks in to the meeting. Don asks for a decision. Don walks out of the meeting.

The execs talk about what they need to do.

Don walks out to reception to find Sally. Sally says she wanted to see him. Sally is with a woman named Vivian who helped her find Don's office. Don asks Megan to take Sally to his office. Don offers to pay Vivian. Abe watches the awkward moment.

Don tells Ms. Blankenship to call Betty.

Don walks into his office and tells Sally that she can't come to his office alone. Ms. Blankenship tells Don that Betty in on the line.

Don tells Betty that Sally got on the train alone.

Betty tells Don that Dr. Keener wants Sally to learn responsibility. Don tells Betty to come get Sally.

Betty tells Don to keep her until the next night and she will pick her up then.

Don hangs up the phone and tells Sally not to leave.

Don tells Ms. Blankenship not to let Sally out of the office.

Don walks back into the conference room.

Peggy walks into reception and asks to speak to Abe. Peggy tells Abe the article he wrote could cause Peggy to get fired.

Peggy tells Abe not to publish the article he wrote for her. Abe tells Peggy he wrote the article for Peggy. Abe says he won't bother Peggy anymore and leaves.

Peggy walks down the hall and calls to Ms. Blankenship.

Ms. Blankenship is sitting straight up with her head looking at the ceiling.

Peggy walks over to her and calls her name. Peggy shakes Ms. Blankenship and she falls onto her desk. Peggy gasps.

Peggy calls for Caroline but she is on the phone.

Peggy goes into Don's office and finds Sally. Peggy tells Sally not to come out of the office.

Megan walks into the conference room. Don asks what is going on. Don gets up to leave.

Megan walks Don to Ms. Blankenship's desk. Joan, Peggy and Caroline are standing there crying.

Peggy asks if they should call an ambulance.

Joan says she will call the coroner.

Don asks about his meeting.

Joan says she will take care of Ms. Blankenship.

Don tells Joan that Sally is in his office.

Joan tries to cover Ms. Blankenship with the blanket on the chair but can't lift Ms. Blankenship's body. She instructs Megan to get some help and a blanket.

Don walks back into the conference room and tries to bring the meeting back into order. Faye leads the meeting as Don watches Pete and Joan take care of Ms. Blankenship's body. Henry complains loudly about his blanket being used to cover the body.

Don asks the execs to sign off on the new account.
Ken shows the execs out.

Don asks Faye to take care of Sally. Faye asks what she should say to Sally. Don tells her to be Faye.

Megan brings in a new chair to the secretary's desk. Don tells Megan to get Roger and Bert to stall the next meeting.

Don walks into his office with Faye. Don introduces Faye and Sally.

Pete and Joan open the doors for Ms. Blankenship's to be wheeled out. Bert tells them to take the body to Frankie Campbell. Meagan places Ms Blankenship's purse on her body.

Don asks if anyone contacted the family. Bert offers to call the family. Megan suggests Don goes home.

Roger and Joan walk down the hall and pass the break room where Henry is telling jokes.

Roger and Joan discuss death in his office. Roger offers to commit suicide with Joan.

Faye and Sally watch TV in Don's apartment.

Sally answers a knock at the door and Don has arrived. Don asks Faye to stay for dinner, but she refuses. Don makes Sally promise we will never come to the city alone.

Joan and Roger sit in a diner eating cheesecake. Joan and Roger discuss their married lives and past romance.

Don and Sally watch TV. Sally asks questions about Faye and her father. Don goes to answer the door and get the pizza.

Roger and Joan are walking along a sidewalk. A man approaches and asks for the time. Roger looks to his watch and the man pulls a gun. Roger and Joan give their jewelry and wallets over.

Joan and Roger round the corner and begin to kiss.

Sally is getting into bed and Don tusks her in. Sally asks Don if she can live with him.

Don sits at his table and begins looking in his notebook.
Don wakes up to the sounds of dishes clanking.

Sally has made breakfast. Don sits and eats french toast. Sally has put rum on it thinking it was syrup. Don offers to push his schedule and spend the morning with her.

Bert sits with Roger trying to write Ms. Blankenship's obituary. Roger calls in Joan to help write it. Bert leaves the room and Joan and Roger get to talk about the other night.

Don walks Sally down the hall. Don leaves Sally with Megan.

Rizzo, Peggy and Ken sit in the conference and watch Don walk by. They begin to talk about how long the next secretary will be around. don walks in to the conference room. Ken pitches singers for the Filmore account's jingle. Peggy suggest Harry Belefonte. Ken shuts down the idea.

Don enters his office and tells Sally to get her things. Sally wants to stay with Don. Sally begins screaming about staying.

Don asks Faye to speak with Sally.

Sally runs down the hall away from Don. Sally trips and falls and Megan comforts her.

Betty is in reception and Sally and Don enter. Joan , Faye and Peggy look on as Sally leaves with Betty.

Don enters his office and Faye is having a drink. Faye is upset that Don put her in the position of helping him with his kids. Faye makes dinner plans with Don for the weekend.

Joyce walks into Peggy office and talks about Abe. Peggy refuses the offer of dinner. Joyce leaves and Peggy gets back to work.

Joyce heads in the elevator.

Faye and Joan get in the elevator. Peggy enters the elevator.
