In this weeks episode of Make It or Break It there is a lot going on. The Rock has become successful and feel a great boost of confidence after having beat the CNT. They think that they are going to be able to be more than just a team that rebels. There is widespread positive press and Emily, Kaylie, and Lauren are going to be on the cover of a major gymnastics magazine. Okay, so they're on the top for that moment but unfortunately for them they have just found out that they have been suspended from nationals and even the team.
The girls have been suspended, because of their rebellion. They people in charge think that they can scare them into doing what they want them to do. Elsewhere, there are some relationships that are getting stronger and closer such as Steve and Chloe. Emily is struggling because she worries that Chloe is going to try to get money from Steve. For whatever reason--pride maybe--she demands that Chloe promise her not to ask or take money from Steve. This is going to be a difficult thing for Chloe since she has officially lost her scholarship.
Lauren and Carter are still struggling over having to tell Kaylie that they are together. Lauren doesn't want to do that until after they get back from France. Kaylie gets frustrated because Carter hasn't been answering his phone or even calling her back and she calls him out on it. He breaks down and tells her that he just doesn't dig her anymore.
Payson is really overworking herself so that she can get back into the shape she needs to be in for World Championships. She may be pushing herself hard, but she is also not seeing herself making much progress. Unfortunately for Payson, she is measured by Sasha. She tells her that she has gotten taller and hit puberty. Not only that, but she has lost some muscle mass. The puberty part is the worst part for her. When gymnasts hit puberty it ends up being the worst thing for them. It can ruin a gymnastics career with the snap of its fingers. She really wants to get on the team despite that and she wants to do it ASAP. If she does this and fails, she will not have the chance to impress them again. She may need to pace herself.
Unfortunately for the team, it seems that the national team has been having secret practices that don't involve them. Of course that means that they obviously won't be competing in France. Lauren gets the other three to go talk to Beals. This was obviously behind Sasha's back. He will forgive them as long as they pledge their loyalties to him and not Sasha. Unfortunately, Beals can't save the lost scholarship for Emily.
Beals goes to tell the girls that Kaylie and Emily are accepted on to the team and that Payson's petition has been also accepted. Lauren loses her mind because it was "her idea" to betray Sasha. She believes that due to it being her idea that she should also be on the team. After that, they also find out that even though there were supposed to be three of the girls on the cover of the magazine it is only going to be Kaylie since she is the actual champion. Lauren has a hissy fit over that too and tells her that despite that she at least doesn't have Carter.
Steve and Beals meet up and they talk about having Sasha removed from running the team as long as Lauren can go to France. They also come to the agreement that he will pay for Emily's scholarship anonymously.
