Beatrice Donnelly is discovered in a field dazed, and unable to remember how she got there. Forensic testing proves that she was both drugged and sexually assaulted. Lewis and Hathaway's trail leads them to Oswalt Cooper, a worker at Beatrice's school. But there is a rock in the road in this case, Oswalt has three alibis from three pillars of the community. Still suspicious, Lewis is determined to find a chink in Oswalt's alibi, even if it means high-profile harassment. But is Lewis's own status as a social outsider clouding his judgment or do those in Oxford's most prestigious social circles have the most to hide?
