The original script featured two fourteen-year-old boys: the boys were aged to be teenagers at the request of Ernest Dickerson, the director. This was done due to the amount of time need to complete the episode, labor laws would have prevented younger actors from working twelve-hour work days.
| The funeral home
Is an actual house in Vancouver, Canada and the boys entered the house from the back door.
| This was one of the few episodes in the series not to take place in a studio. Only Justin's bedroom and den were done in a studio. Everything else was filmed on location.
| Vampires
Despite the fact the episode is about vampires, the term vampires is never said in the episode.
| Kerry's mother
The voice of Kerry's mother is done by Rose Dickerson, Ernest's wife. She is not credited in this episode.
| The original ending featured Kerry hitchhiking and being picked up by a driver (played by Ernest Dickerson). However due to the raining in Vancouver, the ending was changed.
