or even looked beyond the forum? it's full of summaries from Press Releases.
And did you even browse through tvrage even, or just guessed how it's managed by reading this thread?
A lot the guides here are written by members themselves and in time we are hoping most will be rewritten by members. |
I've looked at some shows, here and there. Not all o fyours are like Masters, not all of theirs are. Never said they were. But I think they said they're getting rid fo them whether the editors are eventually going to rewrite them or not, if someone tells them.
Since you put most of the initial stuff in yourself (ummm, right?) and know what it is and where its at, is that what you're going to do? Or at least say where you got em? |

I take it you're okay then with a site that puts together press releases, stitches them into an episode guide, then publishes them without saying at least where they cam efrom, making it look like they wrote them? |
What are you talkin' about? If you're talking about the information that this site has gotten from another site. What makes you think the members don't know?

Why should I care? After I'm retired from my guides I will not be going back to that site.

I don't care what tv.com does. There guides, or the information on them, is not the reason I'm leaving. I'm leaving because the staff is annoying, there are too many bugs, and the mods are acting crazy. So again, why do I care what tv.com does? You don't see me going over there saying you have copied information. ^o) You're just here to try to p*** people off, when really you're making tv.com look stupid. At least our members aren't starting threads at that site saying that that site sucks. It makes tv.com look scared. ^o) If y'all were happy with y'all site, y'all wouldn't be over here every week starting stupid threads just to bash this site.

Yeah? I'm only there until they retire me from my guides, which is taken them forever. Also, I'm guessing you know who I am? Who are you there? I can see if you don't want me to know. Atleast grailwolf used his tv.com ID to state his opinions, why not you? |
Isn't there a retire button you can click? or does that work for people? And, ummm, before on other stuff you've said here who you are there - I don't have to guess. I know how to look up a profile and see when people posted if that whats' you mean. |
No, their People Guides don't have a retire button. If they did don't you think I would of been left? ^o) |

Really man, as said, noone is forcing you to be here. If you don't like it, or think anything makes us look bad, then go somewhere else.
It seems you have way too much time on your hands, so I have a linktip for you: click me. There you have about 116 sites who copied the official summary of a random Lost episode. When you're done complaining to all 116 of them, come back and I'll give you some more.
Geez. |

You guys have got some nerve to come in here and talk about copyrights infringement of Intellectual Property. What about our Intellectual Property that was posted at TV Tome and was SOLD to TV.com?! I don't remember saying John "What? You wanna sell my Intellectual Property to CNET? Sure, why not?" TV.com is clustered with unauthorized Intellectual Property. I didn't give them the right to have it there - but it is - and we don't even have the right to have it removed!
How about that for copyrights infringement? |

Alright, it's been a few days now, and just to round this up:
The summaries on TV.com are still the same as they were last week - I guess they don't care / mind after all.
I also haven't received a reply from either Showtime or IDT Entertainment.
If you have any future questions or thoughts on this subject, please bring them to the general boards instead of this topic - it's quite off topic here and won't be noticed as quickly. Thank you. |

Gurf. I think that's my fault. I could've sworn that I'd sent a message to the editor of that guide on TV.com, but looking through my sent PMs I think I neglected to do so. I'll try to do that as soon as the system refreshes today. Sorry to drop the ball like that. I plead extreme busy-ness and far too much blood in my caffeine stream. :} |
