Kate has a hard time coming to grips with the fact her best friend is truly gone and decides to investigate the case herself. When she tries to get Meg to join her cause, Kate is rebuffed. Meg wants to leave the investigation to the police. Kate is increasingly distressed by everybody's attitudes to Jodi's death, they all seem to be moving on.
Meanwhile Stevie has taken over a meeting that Jodi organised with Natural Resource Management, to tackle a weed problem on Killarney and Drovers. Though schmoozing suits is not Stevie's strong point, she is determined not to let Jodi down.
Facing sudden competition from Marcus, Alex takes drastic action to prove how much he loves Stevie.
