Memphis Beat: I Want to Be Free

A man with amnesia turns up with a bullet wound in the middle of a seedy section of Memphis, leading Dwight to believe he may be connected to a three-year-old unsolved case involving the beating death of a little girl. Lt. Rice, facing financial difficulties after her ex-husband steals a large sum of cash, contemplates a career change.

Recap

The scene opens with Dwight singing. There is light all around him and it is a dream sequence. He goes in his dressing room and Gary Shilling gives him a necklace with the initials T.C.B. (Taking Care of Business). He is interrupted by his mother and Tony and they have a baby. A little girl named Bella shows up and takes Dwight to the woods. Bella is running away from Dwight and he comes up to a blue tarp in the grass. He lifts it up and it is him. Dwight is startled awake and he is in his office with Lt. Rice telling him that he hit it, while she is pulling on her clothes. Dwight wakes up to the phone ringing and it is Charlie. Dwight is no longer dreaming. Charlie tells that they have a shooting that happened but the victim has amnesia. Dwight hangs up the phone and looks in the mirror, shuttered by the dreams he just had...
