Recap

The scene opens with Dwight and Whitehead arriving on a scene of a crime. A police officer has been shot. His name is Don Ekler and Dwight says that he knows him and says that he was a good guy. He asks Officer Sutton to look around for the gun that killed Don. Lt. Rice comes up and tells that his partner, Clay Williams, went for some coffee and Dwight tells that they are going to need to get the schedule for the patrol car. Rice tells that she took them so that they wouldn’t get “borrowed”. She tells Whitehead and Dwight that Don was being investigated by Internal Affairs. She says that she wants Dwight to work with Internal Affairs on this and make sure that they honor Don. Whitehead takes offense and tells her that she can’t split them up. Dwight agrees and asks if they could have someone else. She says that she has to report this to Don’s wife and tells Dwight to go with her. Dwight tells Whitehead that it is nothing and says that they just have to find the killer...
