<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->
The scene opens with Dwight, Greenback and Whitehead watching a video of a funeral. They are investigating a crime where a body was stolen from the funeral home. Dwight says that the funeral home seems like the best place to start looking. Whitehead doesn’t like missing bodies, but goes with Dwight. Lt. Rice talks to the mother of Brad, the boy who has gone missing, and she tells that she doesn’t understand it at all. Rice asks her why she had a closed casket and she tells that Brad wasn’t recognizable. Rice tells that she has her best men on it. Dwight and Whitehead go to the funeral home and talk to the mortician. He says that he doesn’t know where the body is there and says that he didn’t do anything with it. He says that the bathroom door was locked and says that someone could have hid in the bathroom. Dwight asks Whitehead why he is scared of dead bodies and he says that he saw Night of the Living Dead when he was little and Dwight teases him and says that he has tasty brains.

They go outside and Whitehead says that Brad’s best friend, Matt Harris, wasn’t at the funeral and that no one has heard from him for days. At the station, Paula Ann comes in and tells that she is the organizer to the Carnival again and says that she needs volunteers for the areas again. Sutton says that he is in and Paula Ann says that he can be at the ticket booth again. He says that he has other skills and Lt. Rice asks what she has her signed up for. Paula Ann tells her a list of things and Rice tells that she works full-time and tells her to sign her up for Thank-You Notes. Sutton smiles and says that Paula Ann already had Rice signed up for Thank-You Notes. Paula Ann smiles and acts like she didn’t know. Dwight and Whitehead get to Matt’s house and he admits for taking Brad’s body so that he can bury it at the right spot. However, he couldn’t do it. He tells that he has the body in the back seat of the car and takes them to the garage. However, when they open up the garage door, Dwight finds that the body is missing. He says that he doesn’t know how the body was taken from his car and says that he didn’t commit a crime, but Dwight says that he did and takes him down to the station.

They get back to the station and Whitehead says that Matt was in a drug clinic for alcohol, but says that it didn’t work because he was drunk when he took Brad’s body. Greenback comes up and says that Brad had a restraining order on his ex-girlfriend, Kat Melvin. Lt. Rice tells Greenback to look into it. He goes over to Kat’s house and sees the pictures of Brad and her. He asks her if she was the one who stole his body right off the bat. She denies it and says that she only broke into his house when he was gone. Realizing that Kat always watched Brad, he asks if he ever hung out with kids in black and silver clothing. She says that he has. He thanks her and goes back to the station and tells Dwight and Whitehead that Brad was talking with the “Black Gangster Disciples”, a group that used to run the Garden Meadow Projects and chances are that Brad was one of them. He says that there was a gang running around desecrating bodies that was around there. Dwight and Whitehead go to the Projects and every one closes their doors without talking to them. They meet an older lady who tells them about Brad going over to a building and getting beaten up. She tells Dwight that he has a nice face and says that Whitehead looks like a rascal. Dwight and Whitehead go inside to find blood on a crated window. They realize that Brad was murdered.

At the station, Dwight and Whitehead go into Lt. Rice’s office and see her writing Thank-You Notes. They tell about the evidence that they found at the Projects and how Brad was making calls to a burner phone. Rice says that goes along with their gang theory. Dwight says that they are going to talk to Brad’s boss because he was using his delivery truck. Whitehead looks at Rice’s cards and says that they are nice. She thanks him and he tells her that she misspelled Benevolence. Meanwhile, Sutton goes into Matt’s cell at the station and treats him nicely and gives him the funeral announcement. Sutton says that if Matt wants to talk, he will listen. Dwight and Whitehead go to Chet Mayland, Brad’s former boss. He says that whatever people do on their private time is their time. He says that Brad was a good worker and says that he will give them the coordinates to the route Brad had. Chet tells that Brad cared about the kids in the Projects. Meanwhile, Greenback informs Brad’s mother that Brad was murdered.

Dwight and Whitehead talk to the counselor at the center that Brad helped out at and talk she says that he was always good with the kids and used to give them his personal phone number so that they can call if they needed him. They go into a class and ask the students to help them. Everyone is silent and Dwight calls the number on records. One of the boy’s cell phone rings and he runs. They catch up to him and tell that they only want to talk. They find out that the kid’s name is Jesse. He tells Dwight and Whitehead that he and Brad just talked about Football. However, Dwight says that they know that there is more then that. Jesse admits that Brad was giving his family money for medicine. Dwight gets into the station and Paula Ann comes up and tells that they need him to sing again. Dwight tries to back out of it by telling that they have a big case. It works and he sneaks off. Whitehead and Greenback try to get out, but Paula Ann tells that they need the bar and raffle ticket drawer positions staff. They try to get out of it and say that they can do something else, but when they hear that the dunk tank and janitorial work is available, they take the job.

Whitehead and Dwight get to where they say that Brad’s body was found. They walk up and they find that Brad was opened up again and dumped there. Greenback says that the Black Gang Disciples are not involved. Greenback says that Brad was ripped clean of his organs. Dwight and Whitehead go back to the funeral home and talk to the Mortician. He admits to getting the organs and selling them. He says that he still has them. Later, Sutton goes into Matt’s cell and tells that they found Brad, but he wasn’t in good shape. Matt tells that Brad was a good man and Sutton tells that he must have been a true friend. He goes downstairs and sees that Paula Ann is finishing up. He jokes and says that it is nice that everyone is signing up even though they don’t have a choice. He asks if he could have a better spot and says that he will get Dwight to sing. She tells that it is a deal. Greenback says that they have a key that was in Brad’s stomach and Lt. Rice tells Dwight and Whitehead to go and find the locker that Brad was hiding something. They get to the lockers and Dwight asks about Whitehead’s fear about Zombies. He tells the story about how his cat “Pickles” died and that he thought that the Zombies took her. They find the locker and find boxes of shoes. However, they find that heroin is inside the heel.

They take it back to the station and Greenback says that Brad was giving money for medicine. Whitehead has the search team go through Chet’s place and he tells that he is not guilty of shipping heroin. Dwight meets with Jesse and says that the killer is going to go free. Jesse says that he was doing it through his work and that Brad would never deal drugs. Later, Sutton gives Matt his favorite candy bar and tells about the heroin in shoes. Sutton gets more aggressive and Matt says that the drugs are his and that he started working for Brad’s work and Chet found out about it and didn’t report him, but fired him. Sutton comes in to find Dwight and Whitehead in the other room and says that he wishes that he could have gotten more information. Dwight says thank you and Sutton says that Dwight owes him now. Dwight realizes that Chet didn’t turn Matt in for the heroin. They race to find that Chet has gone, erased his hard drive, and shredded documents. They call back the number that Chet last called and it is the airport.

The team races to the airport and find that Chet is trying to fly off. They block his way and get him to get out of the plane. They arrest him. Greenback goes up to Brad’s mother and she thanks him for going above and beyond. She hugs him and walks away. Later that night, the carnival goes off without any problems and Whitehead gives the $250 gift card to Crackle Barrel. Sutton got the job he wanted and is a fortune teller. The episode ends with Dwight singing.
