Owen and Melissa go to a charity event with Sonia, Joe's ex-wife, and her new boyfriend, Harold. There, Terry works as the auctioneer for the event, and Joe hangs out with Manfro.
The work at Owen's house is halted when the city learns that the contractor, who has since disappeared, never filed for permits. However, this leaves the house without electricity, and Owen and his family are forced to move in with his parents for the time being. Meanwhile, Joe begins to think his daughter's ex-boyfriend is stalking her.
