  First episode from a shrinks point of viewRating: 4 likes, 1 dislikesHmmm. As a mental health professional, I am in a bit of a quandary as to what exactly to think of the first episode. Top marks for actually tackling a difficult and often ignored medical speciality. On the other hand the content itself is horribly clichéd and very two-dimensional: Oh, you're a schizophrenic - oh no, you're sometimes aggressive - wow, you're an artistic prodigy, so then it must be ok to be a little mad. Some original ideas, please!!!!Rating: 2 likes, 0 dislikes Wow it sure felt like DejaVu... In short - IMHO Mental looks like a bastard child of House and Mentalist who was mentored by Patch Adams- strong features from both parents with low self esteem and luck of charisma that he is trying to compensate with lots of goo.
