Hawaii
Ami James and Chris Garver travel to the Hawaiian island of Oahu to meet Keoni Nunez, a master of traditional Polynesian tattooing. This trip is both a professional and spiritual journey for Ami and Chris. Keoni teaches them about the ancient art of tapping and gives each of them a traditional-style tattoo. The guys also guest artist at a shop in Honolulu and tattoo six colorful locals. Along the way they meet up with their friends, Sunny Garcia and Rico Jimenez, professional surfers who take them to catch some waves, party at their beach house and mingle with the beautiful women of the island.
1 :01x01 - Five Friends
The shop is set up with no time to spare, the first customer gets a tattoo of the Hawaiian Islands and the first dollar is earned. Also: the grand opening party.
3 :01x03 - In Memory Of...
Yoji and his fiancé Bridgette get married on the beach.
4 :01x04 - Growing Up
The guys adjust to being business owners. Ami worries about the others not pulling their weight.
5 :01x05 - The Apprentice
Yoji slowly learns the ropes, but still has a way to go before he can tattoo. Also: a former member of rock band Skid Row gets tattooed with his kids' names.
7 :01x07 - Going for the Gold
Mark Zupan, a member of the bronze medal-winning Paralympic men's quad rugby team, comes to the shop to get his tribal tattoo finished.
8 :01x08 - Bad Break
Darren is out of commission for eight weeks after breaking his elbow, so a guest artist from L.A. steps in to cover for him.
9 :01x09 - Kats in the Groove
Kat tattoos the Virgin Mary on Darren's wife, Carolina; family members come to visit the shop.
10 :01x10 - Finding Balance
Ami injures his back while trying to get into shape; a woman wants Yoji to tattoo her, but the guys hesitate to let him go solo.
12 :01x12 - More Money, More Problems
The artists of Miami Ink learn that with success come problems. Ami buys his dream car, while Darren risks his life and his career by drinking to excess.
13 :01x13 - Step Up or Step Out
Yoji must improve his drawing skills or Ami will release him from his apprenticeship.
14 :01x14 - Party All the Time
Nuñez's partying comes jeopardizes his career and the shop's reputation. Ami spends time with his mom who's visiting from Israel.
15 :01x15 - Weathering the Storm
Tensions flare when Ami skips town just as one of the worst hurricanes of the season is about to hit - leaving Nuñez in charge of the shop. Darren tries to convince his wife Carolina to leave her comfortable Connecticut home and move.

Kat Von D drops in for a surprise visit from Los Angeles, and Ami tries to get past the memory of a motorcycle accident and debates whether he should ride again.

Kat helps out while Ami is in Hawaii. Nunez is left in charge and is kept busy with an intricate Alphonse Mucha tattoo for a breast-cancer survivor and a design for custom-motorcycle builder Billy Lane.

Garver designs a guardian angel for a client while Ami keeps working on his Hindu-inspired piece on a man visiting from New York, then inks another customer with a Hawaiian-themed tattoo as a reminder of the man's childhood on the islands.

Darren does a tattoo for Frank that has personal significance, and Garver gives some support to Cindy.
20 :01x20 - Goodbye Freedom
Nunez gives an 18-year-old the design of her dreams while Darren inks his father. Later, Nunez helps a woman memorialize her mother and Garver tattoos an image of the World Trade Center on a skateboarder.
21 :01x21 - Made in Japan
Ami helps a girl memorialize her grandfather with a rosary tattoo and Darren inks a musician. Later, Ami spares no details for a custom design, and Garver gives a client a skull.

When Ami's dog Bella gets out of hand in the shop, Nunez and Yoji pay to have her trained. Nunez has a fan in Jamee, who comes to him for a tattoo that will put the past behind her.Ami's friend Lani flies in from Seattle to add a Hanya mask to her sleeve.

Living in different time zones is taking its toll on Kat's marriage. When Oliver comes to visit they go to a psychic to help them get back on track. Lucas asks Nunez to help him pay tribute to his dog. Ami gives Kim an elaborate Eastern medicine back piece.

G-Wiz wants to leave the illegal aspect of graffiti behind, while keeping its spirit alive. He invites Darren and Nuñez to help him on mural project for a local charity, but the guys are rusty and aren't sure if they can pull it off.

Kat inks an extreme-sports tattoo, gets a cooking lesson and her mom comes to visit; Garver gives a woman a '40s pinup design.

Yoji puts together a punk-rock band; Garver finishes his work on Nunez's back tattoo after eight years off; Ami does detail work on a pin-up girl and Harley motorcycle.

Ami and Nunez decide to buy a bar, but disputes with business partners threaten it from opening on time; Garver and Kat team for a tribute to Erik's sister; Amy wants Ami to add more skulls to her collection.

Ami and Nunez visit Orange County Choppers, and Paul Teutul Sr. gets inked with a portrait of his dog Marty, while his girlfriend celebrates her 50th birthday with her first tattoo.

A friend of Kat's flies in from L.A.; Ami gives a woman an old-school tattoo; Darren helps a woman mourn the passing of her brother; tensions continue at the shop between Ami and Kat.
59 :03x01 - New Artist Search
Kat Von D has left for Los Angeles leaving Ami and Nunez in a search for a new artist. First hopeful is Tasi Lyn from Long Beach, Cal; Meanwhile, Garver helps a woman with her vampire appearance.
60 :03x02 - Staff, Staff, Staff
Things are busy and the shop is down an artist; Ami and Nunez also need more staff at the bar; Ami inks a double happiness tattoo.
61 :03x03 - Old Friends
With the shop still down an artist, Garver's buddy Tim Hendricks joins the team; Ami inks a traditional owl tattoo; Garver gives a BMX rider a bearded back piece.
62 :03x04 - Facing Changes
A New York City-based artist named Miss D'Jo tries out for a job; Darren inks a large phoenix on a customer.
63 :03x05 - Garver Gets Commissioned
Garver paints a piece of art that will hang in a model home; Yoji gives a couple matching tattoos; Nunez tattoos a “mermaid.”
64 :03x06 - Viva Las Vegas
Ami and Nunez travel to Las Vegas, where a promoter helps them plan a blowout for their bar. Meanwhile, well-known tattoo artist Joe Capobianco fills in at the shop.
65 :03x07 - Nothing Lasts Forever
Ami and Nunez work days at the shop and nights at their new bar, but Nunez enjoys the bar a bit too much and Ami gets irritated.
66 :03x08 - No Regrets
Nunez and Ami's business partnership has both men at each other's neck, and must decide whether they can continue and still be friends. Simon gets an elaborate peacock tattoo from Garver, while Darren adds a tattoo of a pinup girl on the back of a 300 lbs. woman.
67 :03x09 - Ami's Anger
Ami's temper is out of control between running a bar and being stressed out trying to replace Kat. Yoji also has an anger problem when a stencil for a Koi rubs off of his client before he can finish the tattoo.
68 :03x10 - Skate or Die!
To combat Ami's bullying, Yoji begins a serious workout regiment in order to bulk up. A well known martial arts fighter offers to help train Yoji, who may be in for a real beat down.
69 :03x11 - Speed Racer
Nunez has a problem with speed, speeding tickets that is. Ami sends him to a drag racing school where he races against a top pro driver. Miss Kim drops by the shop for a tattoo.
70 :03x12 - Makin' the Big Leagues
Baseball's Florida Marlins club asks Ami and Nunez to design a temporary tattoo for their fans. In return, the team allows the boys to throw out the first pitch.
71 :03x13 - Through Thick and Thin
Ami and Nunez are ecstatic after being asked to judge a bikini contest. Also, a new client, Joni, asks Ami to tattoo one of her pieces of art onto her back.
72 :04x01 - Make or Break
Ami must get on board with Nunez idea of finding a new shop for Miami Ink, due to unforeseen chaos, and Darren's unexpected return from an extended vacation brings joy to the shop.
73 :04x02 - We are Family
Miami Ink's new manager Dre, needs to pass her certification test before she can work at the shop. Darren announces he has a new fiancé and that she is pregnant with his child.
74 :04x03 - Tim's Pinups
Ami offers to babysit so that a frazzled Yoji can spend a day at lunch with his wife, but finds it hard to relax.
75 :04x04 - House Hunting
Yoji needs special medical attention for his developing skin condition, despite all of Garver's efforts to treat him. Also, Baby Dre is given the job of locating and ridding the shop of an unidentified odor.
76 :04x05 - Ami Animates
Ami animates the kids drawings from his art class he is teaching at Miami Children's hospital. Ami and Nunez are shocked by the tight jeans which Baby Dre had picked out for Yoji while on a shopping trip.
77 :04x06 - Blast Off!
Ami, Nunez, Darren and Dre head to Cape Canaveral in a junky RV to see the space shuttle take off, if Nunez can find his way there that is.
78 :04x07 - Dre's Stylin'
Nunez helps his mom move into her new home which he has purchased for her. Ami gets a lesson in Jujitsu, Garver meets and tattoos an admirer from Italy, and Tim and Nunez both help give a pair of brothers matching tattoos.
79 :04x08 - Ami and Yoji Come to Blows
The boys go out for a day on the golf course, but fail to gain entrance due to their dress code. After a clothes shopping spree to correct that problem, the competition becomes fierce.
80 :04x09 - Dre Demands Respect
In hopes of feeling more included within the shop, Baby Dre' asks to have her name added to the shop's window front. Darren works on an unusual tattoo for a woman who is in mourning over her deceased husband.
81 :04x10 - Ruthless and Toothless
Yoji and Darren created a tattoo based clothing line for children, but creative differences are causing problems. Meanwhile, Ami works on a cherry blossom tattoo.
82 :04x11 - New Orleans Special
The crew head to New Orleans where they help out a friend by working as guest artists in his tattoo shop, Eye Candy. Also, the gang have a craw fish meal, and live some thrills and chills inside a haunted hotel.
