DS Charlie Nelson shows up in town and is thrown straight into a murder investigation straight away. A man is stabbed with an antique sword during a ghost-hunting party at a ‘haunted’ manor house in Morton Shallows. Barnaby and Nelson attempt to work out a motive for the murder and discover the identity of the murderer.

After a medieval fresco is discovered in the crypt of St Clare’s parish church it manages to bring a lot of happiness to the Reverend Martha Hillcott. When a body is discovered in the river and with the river close to bursting its banks, St Clare ends up being at crisis point.

Wyvern House restaurant is much more than a just a restaurant as it is celebrity chef Ruth Cameron’s main focus in life. After the landlord of Wyvern House comes to a brutal death, lots of aspersions are cast. Barnaby and Nelson attempt to discover the identity of the murderer before they claim another victim.

100 :16x05 - The Killings of Copenhagen

Eric Calder is murdered on a business trip to Copenhagen after he opens a tin of his company's famous Golden Clusters. Danish detectives finds out that the toxic package was posted from Midsomer. DCI Barnaby closes down Calder's factory just as it's on the verge of pulling off a major deal with a Danish bakery. After another body is discovered, Barnaby and Nelson make their way to Denmark to work with the Copenhagen police in an effoert to solve the case.
