After a five year absence, a familiar killer involved in religiously motivated murders where priests are burnt at the stake strikes again, and Frank teams up with ex-FBI colleague and fellow Millennium Group member Ardis Cohen to bring him to justice. Frank soon deduces the killer is fulfilling ancient prophecies to rid himself of his sense of faith
