Episode Notes |
| |
As is common in television, with the fate of the show in question, the writers had to script a season finale as if it were also to be the last, in case the network did not renew it for another season. This indeed happened with the episode being advertised as a series finale only until nearly the last minute. | Though this is the last episode, an episode of The X-Files entitled "Millennium" was produced as a conclusion to the series, though it does not bring any information in on Emma Hollis or Peter Watts, and updates the status of the Millennium Group with a gap in what happens between now and then. | This episode marks the death of Barry Baldwin. However, it remains unknown if the body seen in the closing minutes is that of Peter Watts. |
