After getting hit by lightning, Jess develops the ability to find missing people. One night when she goes to sleep, she has visions of a young girl, a street, a house. She wakes up confused about the powerful yet puzzling visions until she sits down for breakfast — on the back of the milk carton is a picture of the young girl she saw in her dream!
Brooke, an agent for the FBI, gets wind of Jess' power and an unlikely team is born. Brooke is trying to find a missing Washington intern and her instincts have led her to the intern's hometown. Jess looks at the picture and dreams of places, but she and Brooke are always a step behind.
Finally they realize that someone from the intern's past, who shared these common locations from her youth, has kidnapped her. Brooke and Jess find the missing girl and capture the madman threatening her. Jess' powers are so impressive that the FBI sets up a task force based around her, with Brooke at the helm.
