Colonel Marcus von Frank leads a European neo-Nazi movement and has convinced Nazi Otto Kelmann to turn over his munitions empire to him. The IMF must turn Kelmann against von Frank by bringing the past back to life: Hitler killed Kelmann's wife during the war.

Script consultant William Read Woodfield was an intensely moral man, and refused to work on this episode due to the fact that it featured an IMF agent portraying Hitler. Landau, a Jew himself, said of his betrayal, "My Hitler wasn't a bad guy, he was just overzealous to the point where you say, 'Wait a minute!'"
