Mission: Impossible: Kitara (aka The Bigot)

Colonel Alex Kohler, tyrannical governor in the segregated African nation of Bocamo, has captured native John Darcy, codename Kitara, the leader of a liberation movement. Kohler is unaware of Darcy's true identity but is torturing him for the location of a truck full of gold bullion that Darcy stole. The IMF must get into the prison, learn the location of the gold from Darcy, then lead Kohler there... and convince him he's a black and fool his officers into believing he's Kitara.

In Bocamo, West Africa, John Darcy flees through the jungle with government soldiers in pursuit. They finally run him to ground and the man in charge, Colonel Alex Kohler, orders him to identify himself. Darcy says that he’s a schoolteacher and Kohler warns him that he made a mistake by stealing a military truck filled with gold bullion. Darcy claims to know nothing about it but Kohler doesn’t believe him and has his men take him away. Kohler assures his assistant, Captain Maxfield, that there’s no doubt that Darcy is actually Kitara, the rebel leader...

Episode Notes
The scenes of Kohler's home are filmed at the Queen Anne Cottage, located in the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden in Arcadia. It is the same house later seen in the TV series Fantasy Island as Mr. Roarke's home.
