Bixby's Back - Recap

The scene opens with Claire and Phil getting ready for their Valentine’s Day evening over at Biza’s, a fancy restaurant. Alex corrects their pronunciation and they ignore it. Phil tells that he and Claire were alter-egos, Clive and Juliana, last Valentines and it was fun. However, this year, they are going to be adults. Meanwhile, Cam calls Mitchell at work and asks if he got the flowers that he sent. He tells that he has not. Cam tells him to ask his assistant, Broderick about them. Broderick tells that he is sorry that he forgot that the flowers were for Mitchell. Cam says that Broderick has a crush on Mitchell and Mitchell tries to tell Cam that he doesn’t, but then silently says that he does.

Later at Ibiza’s, Claire and Phil are trying to have a fun time and are surrounded by older people. An old man bumps into their table and apologizes that it is his first day in the scooter. Phil offers to help and has fun riding around it first. Claire calls Phil from the help desk and asks for Clive. Phil tells her that she has the wrong number and hangs up the phone. Claire calls back and tells that she is role-playing the part of Juliana. Phil gets intrigued and “Juliana” tells “Clive” to ditch his wife and meet her at the bar in 30 minutes. He agrees. Claire comes back and Phil tells that he has to leave. She tells that he can’t do it and he sits back down. Claire tells him that it is part of the role-playing and Phil tells that he doesn’t care and leaves. As Claire leaves, Jay and Gloria enter and Jay tells that his assistant made the reservations. Jay gives the waiter $50 to not seat them. He tells that he has a surprise waiting at home for Gloria and that he always likes to see her face after he surprises her. But, Gloria sees their name on the list and they go to sit down.

Meanwhile at Claire and Phil’s house, Alex tells that she and Tyler have a date while Hailey, Manny and Luke are on the couch playing video games. Hailey tells that she can’t believe her boyfriend, David, blows her off. Manny tells that it is great because Hailey is boyfriend free. Manny starts to flirt with Hailey and Phil runs in looking for Name Tags before running right back out the door. Dylan has been texting Hailey and she tells that she is going to talk to him and he will be running right over. Manny tells her to slow down. Hailey runs upstairs to call and Manny tells that it would be a bad thing to do. Hailey opens her door and invites Manny in to give her some advice. Cam goes into Mitchell’s work and talks to Broderick. But, Broderick tells that Mitchell is in a meeting. He runs up to Cam and asks if he has said anything to upset him, Cam tells that Broderick has made it obvious. Broderick hugs Cam and tells that he is sorry. Cam realizes that Broderick has the crush on him and not Mitchell.

“Clive” walks up to “Juliana” and kisses her. He spits her drink in another glass. He tries to be sly to impress and she tells him to come up to her hotel room and puts the keycard on the bar. “Clive” grabs the wrong key card. At Biza’s, Jay is upset that they are sitting down and Gloria tells that she is hungry. Suddenly Cam comes over and tells Jay that he took their table and that they are the ones who reserved the table. Jay is happy. Meanwhile, “Clive” runs into the hotel room and puts flowers on the bed. “Juliana” is in the bathroom and she calls. “Clive” tells that he is getting ready and starts to take off his pants. He lies on the bed and “Juliana” comes out to find no one in her room. She calls and asks where he is. They realize that Phil is in the wrong room. The door opens and the old woman that was next to them at the bar walks in with Phil on the bed half naked with champagne. He tells that he has the wrong room. Cam and Mitchell enjoy their meal until Mitchell tells that Broderick is over with and Cam tells that he knows. He doesn’t have a crush on Mitchell. Cam tells that Broderick has a crush on him. Mitchell tells that Cam was just wishing. Cam tells that he is bringing the car and they are going to ask him.

Gloria and Jay get home and Gloria tells that she wants to go for a drive to cool off. Jay is determined to get her inside and so he picks her up. He brings her inside, but nothing is there. Confused, Jay tells that he had big plans. Gloria opens the garage and the dinner is there. She laughs and tells that she won this time. Jay tells that Valentines Day is not about winning or losing. She tells that she won and she bought him a motorcycle. Mitchell and Cam are outside of Broderick’s home and Mitchell gets a text from Broderick and tells that he quits and tells that what Mitchell has with Cam is special and that he would feel horrible. Both feel that Broderick wanted them.

Claire gets home and Phil tells that they still have Valentines and that they can go to the room and get “busy”. She agrees to it. Meanwhile, Hailey writes David a message and tells that she can’t be the girl he wants her to be. Manny tells that Hailey is free and can date whoever she wants and offers himself. She hears music and it is Dylan singing to Hailey “Imagine me Naked” and she goes back to him. Later, Ryan the deliver boy throws in extra for one of them and it is back on to find out who Ryan likes.
