Hit and Run - Recap

The scene opens with Duane Bailey standing outside a store and asking for votes. Phil says that he is a good guy, but Claire reminds Phil and Duane who she is. He says that he remembers her saying that she wanted a Stop sign. Claire says that they still need one and he ignores her again. Meanwhile, Cam and Mitchell are at the movies when a man and his children sit down. Cam wants to say something because the movie has things that children shouldn’t see. He turns around and tries to convince the guy that the movie is not good. However, they find out that they are in the wrong movie and are in The Muppet Movie.

Jay calls Gloria and says that he is going to be late. He says that he is still waiting for a client. Manny tells Gloria that he has a paper due on the Mafia and Gloria says that she can help and says that they need to cut off the horse’s head of the old rocking horse. Manny says no thank you. Gloria begins to think that people don’t need her. Jay meets with Josh, the client. Josh says that he wants to have a closet that will blow his mind. Meanwhile, Haley comes up to Alex and says that she needs $900. She says that she doesn’t have any money. Claire and Phil get in and Claire says that she needs to do something and Phil says that she should run. She tries to justify it and Phil says that he will help and wants to help push her. However, he literally pushes her and makes her fall over.

Cam and Mitchell get back from the movies and they get rear ended. The guy tells that it is his fault and drives off. Cam tells that they need to go get him and Cam runs off screaming. Haley goes into Luke’s room and says that he has money for her. She tells that it is really important, but Luke says that it is frozen, literally. Duane gets in and meets Claire. She says that she is running for Town Council. Duane tells her that she is going down and doesn’t help her with the elevator. At home, Phil attempts to take care of the kids, but winds up hitting Luke and giving Alex the drowsy allergy medicine. Jay gets home and says that his new client who is messing around and Gloria says that she wants to help.

The family comes over and Mitchell tells that Cam is playing “Dirty Harry” and Jay agrees that you chase down the perp. Claire gets in and says that Haley tried to get her friends fake ID’s and she sees the damage that Phil did and asks how they are going to get the money back. Claire says that they need to handle this and Jay, Cam and Phil agree to go to the kid who took Haley’s money. Mitchell goes with them. Gloria talks to Claire and asks why she is not running for office. Claire says that she doesn’t want to lose. Gloria says that her cousin faced her fears and says that Claire is a tough lady and that she scares her sometimes.

Jay, Mitchell, Phil and Cam get to the house and they tell the boy to give back the money. The kid tries to run for it and Mitchell tackles him. They get back with the money and Mitchell gloats about catching. Gloria says that Claire is going to run for Town Council and says that she can help. Manny says that he is too proud. Jay asks if she can help and Gloria says that he can. The next day, Jay goes to Josh and shows the same closet to him, but this time, Gloria has a low cut shirt and he says that it is wow. Later that night, Jay and the rest of the guys and they talk about their wild times as teens. Phil says that he rented shoes and then took them from the Bowling Alley. The episode ends.
