Everyone flies down to Florida to be with Phil after his mom's passing. Claire helps Phil with Gracie's last wish for Frank, and the kids reflect on the gifts grandma left for them. Gloria has to contend with an outstanding arrest warrant in Florida, Cam finds himself fitting right into an elderly women's group at Frank's retirement community, and Jay runs into a pivotal person from his past.

Pilot EpisodeRating: 4 likes, 1 dislikes ABC throws us into the lives of a 3 generation spanning family filmed in a "mockumentary" style. I am not a big fan of "mockumentaries" but that's a personal preference. At least they keep the camera shaking and odd camera movement to a minimum. 4x23: Games People Play recap: The episode begins and Phil has a big announcement for the family. Thanks to a high-level real estate deal, he will get to use of an RV for the summer and is already dreaming of a family trip; perhaps to Yellowstone. Claire, knowing how the family really works, decides that Jolene (what Phil named the RV) is not going to work with three kids cooped up in it for hours and hours. They are planning to be the tooth fairy and leave something under her pillow, while she is asleep. They enter and see that she is still awake and waiting for the arrival of the tooth fairy. At the Dunphy’s, Phil is getting ready for career day, taking place at Luke’s school. At the Pritchett’s, Jay tells Manny the different jobs he had till he became successful. 4x20: Flip Flop recap: The episode begins with Cam showing the Pritchetts and the Dunphys around the house that he and Claire have renovated, so they can sell it for a good price. They all raise a toast to a project successfully completed and Phil is sure people will soon be "clamoring" to buy the house. At a diner, Phil meets Gil Thorpe, a fellow real estate agent, who makes him an offer for the house. Phil turns it down, saying it’s too low.
