Tim, Kyle and Doug are childhood friends who are at different stages in their lives when it comes to women. Doug can’t move on from his ex-wife, Kyle is a womanizing bachelor, and Tim’s relationships keep falling apart due to…well, he doesn’t actually know. With the encouragement of Doug’s sister Molly, the men agree to seek the help of Dr. Stangel, a sexy, renowned life coach.

Dr. Stangel pushes Tim to break up with his extremely boring girlfriend Marci. When Tim finally gets the nerve to tell Marci it’s over, she runs into traffic and wakes up in the hospital with no memory of Tim having dumped her. Meanwhile, Dr. Stangel tells Doug that it’s time for him to start a physical relationship with a woman, and Kyle sets him up with one of his early conquests.

Doug is afraid to sleep with his new girlfriend Jennifer the first after his divorce. Tim’s new girlfriend Anita seems to be ho-hum in bed, and Kyle learns that he’s not as desirable as he thinks he is. Dr. Stangel tells the guys that they are putting too munch emphasis on sex and must try to establish an emotional connection in their relationships.

4 :01x04 - Timmy, Can You Hear Me? (Apr/07/2006)
Dr. Stangel advises the men to listen to what women say, but they only get it half right: Tim hears about Molly's car trouble, but tries to help anyway after she tells him not to get involved; Doug listens to his ex-wife's claim that she has moved on, but he still thinks they can reunite; and Kyle listens to a date just long enough to hear she has a friend with "supermodel looks," so he dumps her to find the other woman.

5 :01x05 - Kyle Dates Up (Apr/14/2006)
Dr. Stangel challenges Kyle to date a woman that he’d normally consider out of his league, so Tim suggests he speak to Molly about setting Kyle up with one of her lawyer friends. Molly ends up going to dinner with Kyle instead. Tim immediately demands that Kyle drop any thought of dating Molly or their friendship is over. Meanwhile, Tug finally asks out Iris, a vendor he’s known for years, after learning of her breast enlargement surgery.

6 :01x06 - The Homewrecker (Apr/21/2006)
Doug becomes concerned when he learns that Kyle is becoming romantically obsessed with Dr. Stangel. Meanwhile, Tim decides to reconnect with his high school sweetheart, Barbara, the first love of his life. He finds her in a big suburban home having settled down with an abrasive husband and two dismissive children. Upon seeing each other they realize that there’s still a connection and end up sleeping together. When Tim tries to break off the relationship, he discovers that she’s merely the nanny for the family.

7 :01x07 - Give ‘Til You Learn (Apr/28/2006)
Hoping to teach the guys to consider the needs of others, Dr. Stangel, asks each of them to do an utterly selfless act. Doug tutors a 10-year-old named Victor, but is so obsessive that he pushes the kid away. Kyle sleeps with a plus size woman named Ellen and is shocked to find that she feels she’s doing him a favor. Tim falls for Angelica, a woman fighting world hunger, but asks her to give up her fight when she is asked to move to Africa to continue her work.
