Adrian Monk, played by Tony Shalhoub
Adrian Monk has many clinical mental disorder from a variety of phobias to Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Despite this, he is an excellent detective who is always able to solve a case. He uses a combination of observing small clues and logical reasoning to solve the case. He is a former member of the San Francisco Police Department until his wife's untimely death, this gave him his OCD which caused him to be fired from the police department. He now works as a private consultant to the police department, to lend a helping hand when he is needed.
