Mr. Monk Stays in Bed - Recap

The episode begins in Monk's house where he, Natalie, and Julie are impatiently waiting to get pizza. When a pizza delivery man with a black bruise on his thumb does come, he mistakenly gives Natalie $50 dollars for change. Since $50 dollar is a lot for a pizza delivery man, Natalie hunts him down to return it. When, she finally catches up with the pizza delivery man, he is found dead. Stottlemeyer and Disher rush to the scene of the crime but are called of when a prominent judge named Julian Garr goes missing. More disaster strikes when Monk catches the flu! With, Stottlemeyer and Disher being called of the case and Monk having the flu, Natalie must find out who murdered the pizza delivery man on her own.
Natalie is gaining progress in her case and has identified the pizza delivery man as Julio Alverez. however, the pizza delivery man who gave Natalie her pizza doesn't look a thing like the victim. In order to find out who the pizza delivery man that gave Natalie her pizzas, she goes to the pizzeria where Julio worked at and was able to get receipts of the last customers Julio delivered pizzas to. One of the customers said Julio did deliver the pizza but the other customer named Reggie Dennison,has evidence that indicates he's Julio's murderer, a black bruise on his thumb. This gives Natalie a prime suspect on Julio's murder.
When Dennison briefly leaves his house, Natalie breaks in to look for more evidence against Dennison. Monk is assisting Natalie, who she calls to help her find more evidence against Dennison. After, finding a few key clues, Monk solves the case. Unfortunately, Dennison returns home and while trying to hide from him, Natalie drops her cellphone. Not knowing Dennison is listening, Monk says that he and the missing judge Julian Garr were having a romantic relationship. On the night Julio was murdered, Dennison and Judge Garr got in a fight and beat her to death. Julio sees this and runs into the house to save her but Dennison kills him as well. In order to drop suspicion away from Dennison, he disguised himself as Julio and delivered the pizza to Natalie. This meant that if Dennison's plan worked, Natalie would be the last person to see "Julio" and the suspicion will go to Natalie. However, there are two pieces of evidence against Dennison; a bloody thumbprint in his bathroom and the pizza box, which contains Dennison's thumbprint, is in a recycling center. After, Dennison cleans the thumbprint , he finds Natalie. It is now up to Monk to save his loving assistant.
Dennison now takes Natalie , bound and gagged with duct tape, to the recycling center where the pizza box was recycled at, forcing her to find it or else. After a few unlucky minutes of not finding the pizza box, Dennison attempts to kill Natalie but from out of the blue, Monk pounces on Dennison and get into a brief fight. Fortunately, Stottlemeyer and Disher save the day and arrest Dennison. Even though Natalie has been saved unharmed, Stottlemeyer says that we don't have enough evidence to charge Dennison with murder. However, Monk hears something and asks for silence and then follows the sound he hears. Natalie then explains that Julie bought Monk a card with a musical chip in it, which he had recycled and Monk finally finds the products he had recycled including the pizza box which is enough to charge Dennison with murder.
