• New showrunner steps into CBS' 'Moonlight' |
A "Dark Angel" veteran has stepped in for an "Angel" veteran on CBS' vampire private eye drama "Moonlight."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chip Johannessen will take over as executive producer and showrunner on "Moonlight," only a week after "Angel" co-creator David Greenwalt left citing personal and health reasons.
Greenwalt joined "Moonlight" after CBS picked the show up based on a pilot presentation. He proceeded to recast almost the entire show, leaving only Alex O'Loughlin in place as blood-sucking investigator Mick. During Greenwalt's tenure, Jason Dohring replaced Rade Serbedzija, Sophia Myles came in for Shannon Lucio and Amber Valetta became Shannyn Sossamon, all while the pilot underwent extensive reconception.
