Joy is Earl's ex-wife. Earl would like to think of her as "Demi" to his "Bruce", and hopes they can get along, even though she divorced him to be with Darnell. Despite being a bit of a shrew, she really does love Darnell.
Joy has 2 kids, one is biologically Darnell's.
When she discovered Earl won the lottery, she tried to steal the money from him. Now she still thinks Earl's list is stupid, but occasionally will help him out, if she gets something out of it too. |
