Earl decides he wants to use some of his lotto money to pay back the winnings he earned from a football game that he had Randy fix for him back in high school, as Randy used to play high school football and purposely lost the game. However, upon doing such, he realizes that he needs to put Randy on his list, since his greed had caused Randy to lose his one chance at scoring a touchdown, a feeling that Randy had always wanted to experience. In order to try to make amends for his actions, he gets Randy a fake birth certificate and a false father to enroll him back into high school, though Randy soon starts to enjoy going back to school more than Earl had intended. Meanwhile, Joy has gotten Earl’s car towed, though when she discovers that his lottery money was in the car’s glove compartment, Earl and Joy race against one another in order to try to get the cash before the other does.
The high school used in the episode is U.S. Grant High School in Van Nuys, California.
Randy holds up a sign that says "High Def (definition) rocks!" which can only be seen on a High Definition television.
In some football scenes, the ball was a computer-generated image.
(To Darnell while looking at Joy's butt)
Banker: Nice pool, brother.
Darnell: Right on.
Earl: How was your first day of school?
Randy: Great! I really enjoyed science class. Did you know that before we were humans we were monkeys?
Earl: Really? What were we before monkeys?
Randy: I don't know. I can't even remember being a monkey.
Earl: Where's my car, Joy?
Joy: Oh, I had it towed.
Joy: Yeah. Maybe if you gave me some of that lotto money, I'd back off!
Earl: (voice-over) It was at that moment I realized Joy had no idea that the money was in the car.
Randy: Hey, Earl! Joy had no idea all your lotto money was in the car!
(Joy is sitting in the loan office when a black man walks in)
Loan Officer: So, they tell me you're looking for a loan?
Joy: Yeah! You know what, I left something in the car, I'll be right back.
(she comes back with Darnell) We only need the money for like, an hour or two. (whispers to Darnell) Say something black.
