For the sake of contributing, this episode ends with Earl being sent to the "Hot Box" for pushing the chair into the guard's table. Please submit things that happened before that to this episode and things that happened after to Part 2.

This episode has an entirely new but familiar intro. Instead of, "You know that kind of guy..." that talks about how bad of a person he was and ends with, "My name is Earl", this one starts off with, "You know the kind of guy..." and talks about confessing to Joy's crime and going to jail and ends with, "My name is inmate 28301-016".

Earl: Ralph, hands of junk. Out of your bunk.

Catalina: i don't like to change at work. There's a new girl that steals your pants and sells them back to you at a reasonable price.

Albino Gang Member: I'm tellin' ya, man. We got to take back the shady part of the yard.

(To the white supremacist gang.)
Earl: I'm just sayin', I don't see why i have to shave my head.... Hates in your heart, not in your hair.
(Gets blank stares.)
Earl: Forget it. I'm out.... Geez, you'd think the superior race wouldn't be so threatened by new ideas.

(Looking at squares in his life quilt that Joy made for him.)
Earl: Haha, that when I got the chicken pox... and you were... off banging Darnell.
Joy: Well, I was trying to be accurate.

Glen Shipley: I'm coming for ya Earl. I'm gonna rip out your ears and shove 'em up your butt, just so you can hear me kickin' your ass.

Ralph escaped jail by digging through his cell wall and hiding the hole with a large poster of a pretty woman much like the character Andy Dufresne, played by Tim Robbins, did in the 1994 film, The Shawshank Redemption.

Earl: Sonny was a guy I used to play a game called Beer Can Tag with back in the day.... After that, Sonny just disappeared.

This is a reference to the "Pilot" where Sonny and Earl played Beer Can Tag. Scenes from the Pilot are shown as well.
