Restless - Recap

Private first class Thomas hill walks into a surprise party with multiple stab wounds. Dead on arrival. The team ascends to the scene. Thomas hill is meant to be the grand marshal at a homecoming parade. The team begins their search for a cell phone found at the scene but immediately run over by a dump truck. Parents of the deceased are foster parents, everybody loved Tommy. Upon arrival from deployment there was something bothering private hill. A laptop found at the scene belonging to hill has been found to be trying to hack into the Virginia state website. Never having left the town but once while the P.F.C. was on deployment. Magee and Denozo make their way to the scene of the last known out of town location of the laptop and find a strong box filled with $50,000 in cash. Upon ducky’s autopsy they find a puncture wound on his arm which proves to be an injection of a sedative. The team believes it to be a kidnapping gone wrong. David and Magee visit the house of the parents and find two syringes at the neighbor’s house. Denozo with regrets of his college years tries to track down the man he strung up by his underwear during homecoming. The parents of the deceased have been late on all their house payments until recently when all debts were paid in cash. The Prints of a man named Curtis were found at the crime scene. Abby cracks the cell phone found at the scene to reveal surveillance photos of the sister of P.F.C hill.

The team believes P.F.C. Hill was killed intervening on the kidnapping of his sister. The Family of the sister Lindsay who is also adopted was abusive and nomadic. The team believes the family may be trying to get their daughter back. Or that the P.F.C. and Curtis were in a scam together and Curtis got greedy and tried to take Lindsay as leverage when it all went wrong. Denozo finds his old friend John and goes to meet him to apologize. The boyfriend of Lindsay has seen Curtis before hanging around the house days before. Curtis arrives at his place of employment and the team descends on the site, where the suspect is on the roof of the building about to jump. He instead overdosed on heroin before going over the edge. A letter that had stated that the loan on the parents of hill’s house had been reduced was analyzed it was found to be a forgery sent from the laptop found to have never left the state. DNA from Lindsay is now found at the crime scene and on the syringe used to sedate P.F.C. Hill. Lindsay has been found to be lying about her age, saying she was 17 and being found to be 27.

Lindsay, who has been known to go by Daisy and Roxanne has been wandering around foster homes claiming to be 16 and then running away before her 18th birthday. The team now believes that Lindsay caught P.F.C. Hill rooting through the Virginia state social services website and may have caught on to her scam, which is why he was killed. Denozo meets his old friend john for the first time in years, and is confused to find that he has no reason to apologize. Gibbs begins his interview with Lindsay, wherein she denies being anyone but herself, claiming that a man arrived and drugged her and chased off her boyfriend Tommy. Ducky believes that Lindsay is almost completely delusional, but not enough so to be any sort of insane. She is addicted to her childhood and unable to get past the age of 18 due to a severely abusive childhood. The Owner of the restaurant where Curtis was employed is found to be her Uncle and her abuser and had been running a scam with Curtis to rip off customers of the restaurant upon the deliveries. Her uncle is then taken into custody for the murder of P.F.C. Hill. The team takes Lindsay to get help for all the things she has been through and helps her deal with saying goodbye to the family of P.F.C Hill who greet her with the love she needed all along. Denozo remembers that John was the one who strung him up on the flagpole and realizes how easy it is to lose yourself in bad memories.
