In this episode, FBI Agent Fornell does not recognize NCIS Special Agent Gibbs, who pretends to be a part of Ducky's medical examination team. However, it is later revealed that Agent Fornell married Gibbs' second wife. It is also mentioned that Gibbs had warned Fornell about his ex-wife and that Fornell thought Gibbs was exaggerating. Since Gibbs never gets married again during the course of the first six seasons, Fornell would have to have known Gibbs prior to this case.
Secret Service Agent William Baer calls Agent Fornell 'Tom,' at the president's speaking event. In the rest of the episodes, he is addressed 'Tobias.'
Kate's coat is unbuttoned, then it is buttoned. While Kate is watching Gibbs walk away, Leonard, a reporter, approaches her. She is shown with her coat open. Then, Kate turns, and her coat is buttoned.
