Episode Goofs
While discussing a fictional player who attended the University of Maryland, Leon Vance's son and wife have a back and forth which clearly implies that Carmelo Anthony was the best basketball player "to come out of Maryland [University]".

While his family did move to Maryland when he was 8, he was born in New York and went to college at Syracuse University where he was the NCAA Tourney MOP after his team, the Syracuse Orangemen, soundly defeated the Maryland Terps in the Championship game.

It is obvious from context that the writers and characters specifically meant that Carmelo Anthony was a Terp (a Maryland U alumni) and were not referring to people who at one time lived in Maryland.
