Term for collecting evidence. Evidence is collected, placed in appropriate sized containers, annotated, & then sealed to preserve the chain of custody.

Head:
Navy term for a lavatory. Other services refer to it as a 'latrine'.
 
Ladder:
Navy term for a passage on a ship that provides for vertical access to another deck. Can be an actual ladder, but also refers to a staircase.
 
LEO:
Law Enforcement Officer
 
MTAC:
Multiple Threat Alert Center
 
NWTD:
Non- Water Tight Door. Can be seen painted on doors located aboard vessels. Contrast with WTD.

Probie:
The expression "probie" is the most frequently said word on the show being slang for "probationary". Usually, it is said by Tony as a refference to Tim, stating that Tony is a more experienced agent. But other people have been called probie, including Gibbs himself.
 
Screw:
Navy term for the propeller-like objects that propel a vessel through the water.
 
Scuttlebut:
Navy term for water cooler talk or gossip
 
WTD:
Water Tight Door. Can be seen painted on doors located aboard vessels. Contrast with NWTD.
