Twelve years ago, the Hidden Leaf Village of Konoha was attacked by a Nine-Tailed Demon Fox. The battle had been fought for a long time and casualties were many when Yondaime, most powerful ninja in all of Konoha, managed to finally seal the demon inside a little boy, Naruto Uzumaki.

Because of the demon sealed inside him, Naruto is feared by the citizens of Konoha. He is an outcast, his only friend being his teacher, Iruka. Because of the hardships he has had to endure, Naruto develops a strong willpower. He trains intensively in hopes of proving everyone that he isn't the "demon boy," but instead a human being worthy of recognition. He is determined to become Hokage, the strongest ninja in Konoha!

Naruto is an anime based on the popular manga of the same name created by mangaka Masashi Kishimoto. It has aired on Japanese TV channel TV Tokyo since 2002. In 2005, Naruto started airing in the U.S. on Cartoon Network's Toonami.
