This episode begins with Naruto getting into some mischief in Konoha village. Can he afford to be spending his time like this when he has already failed two of his graduation exams at the academy? Naruto has to take his final graduation exam soon. Will he pass it with flying colors or fail miserably?
2 :01x02 - My Name is Konohamaru
Naruto meets Konohamaru, a little boy, who wants to be known for something other than just for being the Hokage's grandson. This little boy reminds Naruto of himself. Naruto decides to take Konohamaru under his wing and pass down his knowledge of ninjutsu to him.
3 :01x03 - Sasuke and Sakura: Friends or Foes?
The day has come for Naruto to become an official ninja. New ninjas are assigned into groups of three. Naruto wishes to get into the same group as Sakura, the love of his life. Will his dream come true?
4 :01x04 - Pass or Fail: Survival Test
The sensei of Narutos group is Kakashi Hatake, a Jounin, who for some reason has most of his face covered. Kakashi tells the group that they are to do survival training.But if only it were that easy. If they fail this test, they will be sent back to the academy.. and to make matters worse, only 9 out of 27 graduates who take the test will become Gennins, official lower class ninjas!
5 :01x05 - You Failed! Kakashi's Final Decision
The survival training is in full swing. In order to pass the test, they must each steal a bell from Kakashi. However, Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura are going to find out that doing that isn't as easy as it sounds
6 :01x06 - A Dangerous Mission! Journey to the Land of Waves!
After many, many seemingly pointless missions Naruto's group is finally given a more interesting mission. They are to escort man named Tazuna safely to a village in Country of Waves.They have barely started their journey when they are attacked by two ninjas. It's time for their first real fight!
7 :01x07 - The Assassin of the Mist!
The group learns about the plans of the tyrannical leader of Wave Country who wants to keep his financial stranglehold no matter what. In order to do that, he is planning to kill the man Naruto and his fellow ninjas are escorting!
When they have almost reached their destination, they are attacked by a ninja wielding a giant blade. He seems to be an enemy of such calibre, that Kakashi has to finally reveal what is so special about his left eye.
8 :01x08 - The Oath of Pain
The new enemy, Zabuza Momochi, seems to be much more powerful than the enemies our ninja group has previously fought.Zabuza uses his abilities to trap Kakashi in a watery cage. The only ones that can stop the enemy now are Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura.
9 :01x09 - Kakashi: Sharingan Warrior
Because of the clever plan thought out by Naruto, Kakashi is freed from his watery cage. He is going to reveal why he is called the "Copy Ninja."
10 :01x10 - The Forest of Chakra
Zabuza is defeated.. A mysterious person kills already unconscious Zabuza and quickly vanishes away with the body. It's time for training.
Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura train how to control their chakra, the energy every ninja emits. They try to run up a tree by solely focusing chakra energy on their feet.
11 :01x11 - The Land Where a Hero Once Lived
After showing off her excellent chakra energy control by climbing up a tree in one try, Sakura escorts Tazuna to his home.Meanwhile, because of their competitive nature, Naruto and Sasuke refuse to stop training.
12 :01x12 - Battle on the Bridge! Zabuza Returns!
Kakashi , Sasuke and Sakura arrive at the bridge only to find several dead workers. What is going on?Naruto meets Inari, a boy who lost the man who was like a father to him. In order to lift his spirits, Naruto is determined to prove him that heroes still do exist.
13 :01x13 - Haku's Secret Jutsu: Crystal Ice Mirrors
It seems that Zabuza didn't die after all! And the person who was thought to kill Zabuza, was his ally all this time!A battle commences. Sasuke seems to have the upper hand against Haku but something doesn't seem right.. Soon Haku performs his secret ninja technique, Demonic Ice Mirrors.Sasuke is in trouble, Kakashi is busy fighting Zabuza and Sakura is protecting Tazuna. Will Naruto be able to help Sasuke?
14 :01x14 - The Number One Hyperactive Knucklehead Ninja Joins the Fight!
Both Naruto and Sasuke are inside Haku's cage made of ice mirrors. Haku's incredible speed while moving from mirror to mirror is causing Naruto and Sasuke problems. Is there any way to defeat this boy?
15 :01x15 - Zero Visibility: The Sharingan Shatters
Kakashi is going at it with Zabuza. With his Sharingan he seems unbeatable. However, after Zabuza figures out secret of the Sharingan, he is able to counter it with a technique of his own.The battle just got a lot tougher for Kakashi
16 :01x16 - The Broken Seal
Under huge pressure, both Naruto and Sasuke gain new powers. Will they be enough to defeat Haku?
17 :01x17 - White Past: Hidden Ambition
The demon sealed inside Naruto has given him extraordinary powers. Haku's ice prison is shattered to pieces, leaving him defenseless.
Naruto realizes that the boy he had been fighting all this time, was the same person he met earlier in the forest.
18 :01x18 - The Weapons Known as Shinobi
Determined to finish Zabuza off, Kakashi focuses all his energy on one single strike.
19 :01x19 - The Demon in the Snow
With his last ounce of energy, Zabuza kills the leader of Gatou's mercenaries. Zabuza's last wish is to see Haku one last time. Kakashi carries Zabuza next to Haku's lifeless body. Zabuza takes his last breath of air.
The mission has ended. Tazuna can finish building the bridge in peace. It's time for the group to travel back to Konoha.
20 :01x20 - A New Chapter Begins: The Chunin Exam
Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura are back in Konoha. Again, their missions consist of various odd jobs. They meet several ninjas that they haven't seen before. Apparently they've come to Konoha in order to participate in the upcoming Chunin selection exams.
21 :01x21 - Identify Yourself: Powerful New Rivals
After the three new ninjas leave, Sasuke realizes that there are powerful ninja rivals in this tournament. The next day, Kakashi explains to them that he has recommended them all for the Chuunin Exams. Naruto and Sasuke are incredibly happy and excited about this, Sakura doesn't really want to enter in fear of letting everyone else down. Also, a person decides that he wants to fight Sasuke in order to test his abilities.
22 :01x22 - Chunin Challenge: Rock Lee vs. Sasuke
Our group meets Rock Lee, a rather peculiar boy, who is going to take part in the upcoming exams. The situation escalates and Lee challenges Sasuke into a duel. Sasuke can't keep up with Lee's supernatural speed. If the participants in the Chunin exam are going to be of this calibre, will our group of ninjas have any chance to survive?
23 :01x23 - Genin Takedown! All Nine Rookies Face Off!
Our group arrives to the exam site. They see both familiar and strange faces. They meet a helpful ninja, Kabuto, who is participating in the exam for the seventh time. Kabuto shares the data he has collected with Naruto.
24 :01x24 - Start Your Engines: The Chunin Exam Begins
A ninja skilled in the art of interrogation proctors a written exam taken by Naruto and his teammates, who are faced with the real possibility of failure if Naruto is unable to answer at least one of the 10 test questions correctly.
25 :01x25 - The Tenth Question: All or Nothing
The genin are face with the tenth question, which is a all or nothing challenge. If failed, they can never take the Chuunin Exam again.
26 :01x26 - Special Report: Live from the Forest of Death
Konohamaru and his friends interviews Team 7 on there past exploits.
27 :02x01 - Chunin Exam Stage 2: The Forest of Death
The beginning of the second exam is official and everyone is fighting for the scrolls. Naruto is suddenly attacked and Sasuke finds out what happend. Sasuke is dealing with the ninja that attacked, a new enemy finds them. Who is this mysterious enemy?
28 :02x02 - Eat or Be Eaten: Panic in the Forest
So that they can tell who is who and not run into fakes, Sasuke makes a password that must be recited. Naruto gets separated from Sakura and Sasuke and then comes back and says the password correctly. Sasuke says that the Naruto they see is a fake. While Sasuke and Sakura are trying to find out about this weird ninja, the real Naruto runs into a giant snake. Is Naruto able to defeat this giant beast? And can Sasuke and Sakure fight this unnatural ninja?
29 :02x03 - Naruto's Counterattack: Never Give In!
After hurrying to help, Naruto finnaly arrives where Sasuke and Sakura are. Much to Naruto's dismay, Sasuke tells Naruto to run away since the opponenet is too powerful. Sasuke decides to bargain with the Grass Ninja and throws him the scroll. However before it gets to the Grass Ninja, Naruto grabs it. Naruto gets angry and says that the person talking to him is a fraud and not really Sasuke since the real Sasuke isn't a coward. With Sasuke no longer much help, Naruto is left to fight this enemy. Naruto then unleashes the Kyubi. The snake that the Grass Ninja summoned then attacks Sasuke.
30 :02x04 - Sharingan Revived, The: Dragon-Flame Jutsu!
When Naruto is unconcious and unable to fight, Sasuke says that if he wants to avenge his family and kill his older brother, he has to put his life on the line. Sasuke get ready to fight this enemy again. Meanwhile, Anko races over to save everyone, but will she make it in time?
31 :02x05 - Bushy Brow's Pledge: Undying Love and Protection!
With Naruto and Sasuke incapacitated, Sakura is forced to fend for her own when the Sound shinobis attack. Little do they know that Sakura will be getting help from an unlikely source. Rock Lee.
32 :02x06 - Sakura Blossoms
Since Naruto, Sasuke, and Lee are all defeated, Sakura is left alone and is the only one who can defend them. Is it possible for her to come up with the courage and ability to fight off these sound ninja?
33 :02x07 - Battle Formation: Ino-Shika-Cho!
Team 10 comes to Sakura's rescue and begins to battle the Sound Nin.
34 :02x08 - Akamaru Trembles
Kiba, Shino, and Hinata have the 2 scrolls but decide that if they get more scrolls, less people will be able to win, thus getting rid of the competition. After searching, the three go to a place where there are 3 Rain ninjas fighting Gaara and his other two teammates (Kankuro and Temari). Kiba says for them to stay hidden since Akamaru smelled out that one of the ninja(probably Rain) are quite strong. Then then see Gaara and his astonishing abilities in battle and relize that Gaara is the dangerous one and hope to be able to run away without being noticed and killed.
35 :02x09 - The Scroll's Secret: No Peeking Allowed
With a very little amount of time left to get the scroll, Naruto and Sakura decide that they should look at the first scroll, then copy onto another one and make a fake scroll. Soon Kabuto arives and stops them from making a horrible mistake, then agrees to help the group find their own scroll while he heads to the tower.
36 :02x10 - Clone vs. Clone: Mine are Better than Yours!
Naruto and his group start to fight a team of Rain ninja. After Naruto thinks up a plan, Sasuke says that he should defeat them himself since Naruto has already done so much. Naruto says no and says that this is his own battle to end. Also, it is started to question, is Kabuto a powerful friend? Or a dangerous foe?
37 :02x11 - Surviving the Cut! The Rookie Nine Together Again!
As part two of the exam starts to end, the Konoha Rookie 9 have all passed alongside of Gaara's team, Kabuto's team, Rock Lee's team, and the sound ninja. The third Hokage says that the third exam isn't just some test, but they are actually in a miniature-war!
38 :02x12 - Narrowing the Field: Sudden Death Elimination!
The genin are force to under go through one on one preliminaries to cut down the numbers. With his curse seal still acting up, Sasuke is the first to fight.
39 :02x13 - Bushy Brow's Jealousy---Barrage of Lions Unleashed!
The third exam includes one-on-one combat, with the first match between Sasuke and Orochimaru's minion Yoroi. The cursed seal continues to torment Sasuke as the fight goes on.
40 :02x14 - Kakashi and Orochimaru: Face-to-Face!
Kakashi performs the sealing ritual on Sasuke, while the fight between Zaku Abumi and Shino Aburame commences.
41 :02x15 - Kunoichi Rumble: The Rivals Get Serious!
Ino and Sakura are picked to fight in the next match. Sakura is ready to show Ino how much she's grown over the course of the Chuunin exam.
42 :02x16 - The Ultimate Battle: Cha!
The battle between Ino and Sakura rages on, and they both start out testing each other. Then, Ino uses here Mind Transfer Jutsu on Sakura to make her give up the match. Will this be the end of the exam for Sakura?
43 :02x17 - Killer Kunoichi and a Shaky Shikamaru
Tenten and Temari fight. Temari wins effortlessly.Then, Shikamaru battles Kin and defeats her by outsmarting her into falling right into his trap. Lastly, Naruto and Kiba are finally chosen to fight, and Naruto can't wait to show everyone that he's not a failure!
44 :02x18 - Akamaru Unleashed! Who's Top Dog Now?
Naruto finally gets his chance to fight against Team 8's Kiba Inuzuka.
45 :02x19 - Surprise Attack! Naruto's Secret Weapon
The Battle between Kiba and Naruto rages on! Kiba and Akamaru seem like their getting the upper hand on Naruto, but he has yet to reveal his new move!
46 :02x20 - Byakugan battle! Hinata grows bold.
The battle beween Neji and Hinata kicks off! Hinata's very afraid at first, but after some words of encouragement from Naruto, she gains the will to fight. But will Neji live up to his billing as a genius?
47 :02x21 - A Failure Stands Tall
Hinata decides to prove her worth against Neji as the battle between the two draws to a close.
48 :02x22 - Gaara vs. Rock lee: the power of youth explodes!
