	Ned Bigby, played by Devon Werkheiser Ned Bigby is one of those kids who have the potential to be smart but spend the most time being lazy. He started a school journal in elementary school that in later years became the survival guide. His number one goal is to help kids survive school with helpful tips. Now in his 8th grade year, things for Ned have only gotten more complicated. He finally gets the girl of his dreams, Suzie Crabgrass, but at the same time he starts to fall for his best friend Moze.


	Jennifer "Moze" Mosley, played by Lindsey Rachel Shaw Moze is Ned's best friend, she is competitive, athletic, and very smart. She keeps the group grounded, and if things start to get a little out of hand, she tries to talk common sense to Ned and Cookie. She is the co-captain on James K. Polk Middle School's volleyball team and has a long going feud with Suzie Crabgrass. She always wanted to have a girl friend who she could talk to about girl things, but can't help competing against Suzie. Now in her eighth grade year, Moze has realized she likes her best friend Ned, as more then a friend. Which only complicates things more when Ned starts dating Suzie and she meets a nice guy named Fayman.
