New Girl

New Girl

New Girl is a single camera comedy that follows Jess Day (Zooey Deschanel), an off-the-wall and adorable girl who just got out of a bad relationship. She moves in with 3 single guys and although she's awkward, she's with her personality. She is not used to being around boys and the three men don't make it easy for her at first. Nick (Jake Johnson), one of the roommates, is the most grounded. He had a plan for his life, but became a bartender instead. He can read people. Schmidt (Max Greenfield) prides himself as a modern-day Casanova. He sees Jess as a chance to get to know the female mind. Coach (Damon Wayans, Jr.) is a former high school athlete that makes a living as a Personal Trainer. He feels at his best when he is at the gym.

When Jess's best friend Cece (Hannah Simone), a cynical model who became beautiful after her adolescent years, comes over, she gives the advice that Jess needs and gets her back on her feet again. The five friends realize that they need one another more than they thought and form a nice balance of friends. Created by Liz Meriwether (Freaks and Geeks), New Girl offers a fresh new comedy that takes a look into the relationships and breakups that we deal with on a daily basis and how to deal with them.

recap: Winston enters the living room and asks for Nick’s permission to move Jess’s panties. He insists he is just being respectful, as he moved them “hundreds of times” before Nick and Jess were a couple. The guys become creeped out, and argue about who should move the panties until Nick has an idea. Jess and Cece enter to find the guys huddled together, with Schmidt holding the underwear on a stick over a basket carried by Nick. Jess says she doesn’t care, because something exciting happened. In a flashback, a speeding car nearly hits Jess and Cece as they step off a curb. They yell at the driver, who backs up. Jess explains that the driver was apologetic, and is sending a limo to take them to a party hosted by her boss, Prince. Jess interrupts her celebratory dance with Cece to tell the guys, “That’s not my underwear.”.. read more.

1x6: Thanksgiving recap: Jess, dressed as a turkey, is backstage watching her students perform in
the school's Thanksgiving play. She is approached by Paul, a fellow teacher,
who thanks her for helping out with the play. He asks her how her boyfriend
is doing, and she explains that they broke up. She asks what he is doing for
Thanksgiving. He replies that he usually spends the holiday with his grandmother,
but she passed away the previous month, which explained why his Halloween play
was so "deep."(flashback to the students in said play singing a very morbid and bleak song)
Paul excuses himself, and as he's walking away, Jess calls out to him... read more.

1x5: Cece Crashes recap: Jess is in a club, in her pajamas, fighting her way through the crowd yelling for Cece.
She gets to Cece, who is yelling at the DJ, who is apparently some sort of boyfriend or romantic
interest. Cece said she caught him making out with another girl. Cece rips the DJ's
shirt, and she and Jess leave... read more.

1x3: Wedding recap: Schmidt and Nick are in Jess' room while she's getting ready. They are all
going to a wedding. Jess is going to pretend to be Nick's girlfriend, because
Nick's ex, Caroline, will be there, and they want Nick not to get caught up talking to
her as he isn't over her and it's unhealthy for him. Winston pokes his head in the door
and tells them to hurry up, and he is in the wedding as an usher and cannot be late.
Jess says she does the chicken dance different then most people, and demonstrates. Nick tells her
no dancing. Schmidt tells Jess not to be herself at the wedding. The guys are stunned by Jess when she comes
out of her closet wearing a nice dress...and reveals fake prop teeth and an awful accent.
They tell her no teeth... read more.

1x2: Kryptonite recap: Schmidt calls Jess into his room as she walks by. He tells her he has a girl coming
over later and asks where in his room he looks the sexiest. He moves between
several spots in the room. Nick comes in while this was going on, and he and Jess
make Schmidt run around the room repeating his options over and over until Schmidt catches on... read more.
