The Guardian - Recap

The scene opens with a woman opening a bank vault and going inside. She gets a deposit box out and Division operative Owen is in the safe deposit box vault as well. A bank robbery happens and he saves the day by killing the bank robbers. But, before he could be apprehended by the police, he disappears. Meanwhile at Division, everyone is working on an operation and Percy receives a call from Owen. He tells that that “the package is out” and tells that he was interrupted during the process. Michael looks at Percy and it is clear that Michael is not going to like the news that he has. Percy tells that he will be going to Montreal and getting Owen and in the meantime, Michael is in charge. Michael is not happy with the news and Alex overhears it all. She goes to the computer lab and sends a message to Nikita alerting her that Percy is going to Montreal. Michael wants to know what Percy is up to and has Birkhoff look at the Montreal news. There was a bank robbery and Nikita finds the same video and starts watching it. She picks up that the “rougue” bystander is actually a Division operative. The police recognize him as Owen Elliot. Both Nikita and Michael want to know why Owen is important and Nikita tells that Owen gets Percy’s personal attention.

In Montreal, Owen is taking out a bullet and wrapping up his arm. Nikita arrives in Montreal and is already searching for him. She arrives at his place and it is an active crime scene. Nikita tells that she is going to visit her friend and the officer lets her through. She walks in and goes to the neighbor, Emily. She asks about the butterflies that are in her window and that she has a designer that wants to mass produce them. She lets her in and gives her a couple. Nikita goes to Owen’s mailbox and steals his mail, reads it, and calls the phone company to track the phone because he is a cheating husband. She gets the location of an abandoned high school. She goes inside and finds Owen. She sees that the device that was “out in the open” is actually one of Percy’s famous “black boxes” that has all information of the missions that Division has had. She tells him to give it but this gets them into a fight. The butterflies that Emily gave Nikita fall out and Owen asks if Nikita is from Division. Nikita tells that she is not and then runs off. Owen gives Percy a call and tells that he was almost killed and Percy tells that it was Nikita and that he wants to kill her on site. Percy tells one of the agents to “cancel” Owen once he gives up the “black box”.

Back at Division, Birkhoff teaches the recruits about the things that they could do with a cell phone. Alex asks if Birkhoff for help to sync up their Bluetooth and he helps. She walks off and takes the impression from the Bluetooth and makes a fingerprint. In Montreal, Emily goes home and Nikita is there waiting. Nikita finds out that Emily is Owen’s girlfriend, who thinks that Owen is a contractor and not what Nikita tells her. She tells that Owen broke the rules and now Division is going to kill him for the box. Meanwhile, Percy, Joey Greco and the other team members are in position. They spot Owen and he gets a call. It is Nikita and she tells that Emily if fine for now, but she wants the “black box” in return. Owen tells that he is going to kill her and then leaves. Percy gets word of this and orders the team to take him out, but he is out of range. Meanwhile at Division, Alex uses Birkhoff’s fingerprints she made and walks into Percy’s office. She looks around for a moment and realizes someone is coming. Birkhoff and Michael walk in and Michael gives Birkhoff an order to search Percy’s computer. Birkhoff finds out that Owen’s working with a file that is marked “Guardian”. Alex is hiding under the table and hears everything. As she leaves the office she is grabbed by Thom. He takes her to his room and demands what she is doing. She tells that she was only looking for her file. He tells her if he catches her again, he will turn her in. Alex goes to the computers and talks to Nikita. She tells that the code is #BB-4905 to the black box.

Owen runs back to Emily’s house and finds Nikita there with a gun aimed at him. He aims his gun at her and demands to know where Emily is. Emily comes into the room and Nikita tries to tell Owen that Division wants him dead. Nikita asks where the “black box” is and Owen tells that he buried it. She tries to show Owen that she means the truth and lowers her gun, but they are interrupted when a bullet goes to the window it and kills Emily. Nikita tells it’s time to go, but Owen would rather stay and fight. Nikita escapes, but Owen is left behind and is captured. Owen is woken up by Percy and wants to know what Nikita told him. Percy thinks that she told that he was the leader of end evil empire and he tells that he is not. Owen talks about Emily and how she was special to him. He tells Percy that he took something of his and he refuses to give something back to him. He is hit across the head again. Michael is told that he has a phone call from Nikita. Alex sneaks in a listening device in Birkhoff’s pocket and takes his Bluetooth.

Inside the observation room, Nikita is transferred to Percy and he asks what she wants. She tells that she wants to put a magazine full of bullets in his face. She tells that she’s willing to trade Owen for the “black box” that she now has. She tells that serial number that Alex gave her and now Percy thinks that she is not bluffing. Afterward, Birkhoff has the recruits line up and tells that someone snuck into Percy’s office. Thinking she is a goner, Alex gets a little scared. But, Birkhoff centers on Jaden who in turn tells that Birkhoff is only trying to set her up. Michael walks in and tells Birkhoff to stop what he’s doing. Michael tells that he will take full responsibility of going into the Percy’s office. Meanwhile, Nikita arrives on the boat and kills one guard after another and inside, Owen fights Greco and kills him. He runs after Percy and gets him to drop his gun. Nikita is behind Owen and tells that she needs him alive to get rid of him forever. Owen tells that he doesn’t care and starts to fight Nikita. Percy sees this as his chance and manages to get his gun and shoot Owen in the side. Nikita and Owen jump off the boat and disappear.

Alex walks into Thom’s room and tells that she wants to thank him for not turning her in. He sits down with her and tells that she needs to accept it and start a new life. They hug and he kisses Alex, but she tells him to stop. Mainly because Jaden told her earlier that Thom is hers, but she doesn’t tell him that. Percy returns to the office and meets with Birkhoff and asks about the security breach. Birkhoff tells that Michael knows about it and for Percy to talk to him about it. Alex talks to Nikita again and she asks if everything is alright and she tells that they are, when they really are not. Alex asks Nikita is everything is settled and she lies as well while looking at Owen lying on the bed recovering and tells Alex that everything is fine.
