Echoes - Recap

The scene opens with Alex and Nikita training and Nikita is showing Alex different codes as they are sparing. Nikita shows Alex a symbol and she asks where she got that. She says that she feels that she has been drugged. Nikita’s computer shows a message from Amanda. Alex asks why Amanda is there and Nikita says that Alex is starting to remember. Nikita tells Alex to wake up. She wakes up and the doctor says that she is under the influence of Ibogaine. Michael asks what the drug will do and Amanda says that she is hiding something about her past and the drug will help expel that. Alex says “Witfield” and Michael recognizes its meaning and runs off. Amanda tries to get into Alex’s head and Alex starts to hallucinate that she is in division.


Alex, while in the dreamlike state, walks the corridors of Division and meets herself when she was a little girl. She introduces herself to Alex as Alexandra Udinov. There is a loud bang and Alexandra says that “she” is coming. Amanda tells the doctor that there is a whole world inside of Alex’s head. Amanda forces Alex to slow down in her dream and asks who is with Alex. Meanwhile, Nikita calls Gustav and needs an identity package done for Alex again. He says that he needs fingerprints and passports. He asks Nikita who Alex is running from and Nikita says that she is afraid of where she is heading. Nikita watches the video of Alex shooting Vlad. Michael goes to see Birkoff and says that he needs him to search for the name Witfield. Birkoff recognizes the name and pulls up that he was part of “Operation Superdollar” and says that all targets were eliminated and they used Nikita.

Back inside the room with Amanda and the doctor, Alex is still running around in Division in her head. They hide underneath a car and suddenly the room sets on fire. Alex is gets pulled out from underneath the car. It is Nikita. Amanda wonders why Nikita is in her dream. Meanwhile, Michael goes through the phone call that he made to Alex following the assassination attempt of the Prince. Michael picks up on something and goes to Birkoff. He says that there is an echo in the room where Alex called from. Nikita goes to Alex’s apartment and gets a glass with Alex’s fingerprints. Someone comes in with a baseball bat. Nikita turns around and it is Nathan. He tells Nikita that he is Nathan and she asks why he is breaking and entering. He says that he got a key and he heard things. Nikita says that Alex is out of town. He asks if she is alright and Nikita says that she will be.

Back with Amanda and the doctor, Amanda tries to get inside Alex’s head and convinces her to slow down. However, in Alex’s mind, Nikita says that they need to run. They go into another room and Michael is there. Nikita says that she will take care of it. They start fighting and then stop and start kissing. Alex says that she knew there was something up between them. Alex and Alexandra run and she says that she won’t let Amanda hurt her. Amanda is shocked and says that she shouldn’t know what she is doing. However, inside the dream, Alexandra shows the symbol from the beginning. Meanwhile, Birkoff says that Alex wasn’t in her apartment when she made the call. In Alex’s mind, she finds a way out and she finds herself in her apartment. She calls Nikita and says that she is home, she thinks. However, she hears someone in the house and takes out her gun. It is Nathan. Alex asks if he saw a little girl and he points to their baby. Alex is married to Nathan and they have a daughter. Alex is happy and Amanda says that she needs to get her to be afraid again. Nathan said that someone dropped off an envelope for her and Alex sees the symbol. The building shakes and Alex finds herself again in Division.


Nikita gets scanned by Gustav and he says that he has done these things for her all the time. He says that he knows who Nikita used to work for and is pretty sure that is who these people are running from too. Nikita asks if Gustav has the plastic surgeon ready and Gustav says that it is not cheap. Back in Alex’s dreams, Alex sees Jaden and they fight. Alex kills Jaden and then feels bad for doing so. She goes out in the hall and sees Alexandra. They rush to the exit. Meanwhile, Michael is trying to find another call that is the same location. Michael starts to wonder if Alex went into the field too soon. Birkoff says that Michael needs to stop getting emotionally attached. Birkoff gives Michael a password and goes though phone logs. Back in Alex’s dream, they see the symbol again. They are closed in and Alex finds the fingerprint that she made. They get into Percy’s office and Amanda and Percy enter. Nikita comes in and says that she is not sure that Alex has that killer instinct and says that she is unstable. Alex’s father Nikolai Udinov shows up and says that Alex already has a destiny and that she will be head of Zetrov. The symbol is the label of Zetrov.

Michael goes through the matches and finally gets a match from a phone conversation Michael had with Nikita. She says that she is in Witfield’s place. In Alex’s dream, Alex steps out and says that she never wanted greatness. She says that she knows what she wants and breaks from her wires. However, she is still hallucinating. Amanda doesn’t disturb her and says that she wants to follow her. Meanwhile, Nikita gives Gustav the Super Dollars that Witfield gave Nikita and has his men come in and aim their guns. She kills Gustav’s men and tells him to forge the passport. Michael comes up to the doctor and asks where Alex is and he says that Alex said that there is another way out and Michael comes up to her and says that she doesn’t want to go to the exit. Michael says that this is where Thom died. Amanda says that a mysterious female was after her. Alex gets out of the sewers and gets escorted to her in the future. She is back at her father’s mansion and Alexandra asks Alex why she was running. Alexandra says that she needs to take back her empire. She says that she wants to be happy and normal. Nathan and her daughter are there and Alexandra walks over and kills them.


Amanda is finishing up her assessment and says that Michael can talk to Alex after she talks to her. Amanda sits down with Alex and says that she killed Nathan in her dream. Amanda says that it is not good to get attached. She says that she needs to continue doing her job. Amanda goes into Percy’s office and says that they might have another Nikita on their hands and recommends that she get canceled. Percy says that he will take that under advisement. Alex gets home and calls Nikita. She asks if she is alright and Alex says that she wants to get out. Nikita says that she understands and Alex says that Nathan might be in danger. Nikita says that things are defiantly more complicated now. Michael is there with a gun and tells her to ask him how he got there. The episode ends.
