Into the Dark - Recap

The scene opens with Nikita and Michael in bed together. Michael tells her that they are going to have to tell Alex soon about them. She tells that she doesn’t want to just yet. Michael and Nikita are interrupted by Owen. She tells that Michael and Owen can lower their guns and they listen. Owen asks what Michael is doing there and Nikita tells him that he is with her. Owen tells that he narrowed the location of The Guardian, the secret agent guarding the Black Box. Michael tells that is impossible to know where he is already and she tells that she is going to be in London with Owen and Michael tells that he wants to talk to Nikita. He says that he doesn’t trust Owen. She tells that she does and that they are going to have to play nice with Owen. Meanwhile in Division, Alex deletes Nathan from Alex’s known associates. Amanda stops her as she tries to leave and tells her to join her.

Michael gets into Division and tells that he wants to go over the security protocol for a mission. A corporate hiest went wrong. Jaden was on the mission and was supposed to graduate. Amanda tells that she wants Alex to debrief Jaden. Alex reminds her that Jaden hates her. She tells that Jaden will be off balance and the truth will come out. Meanwhile, Nikita and Owen settle in their hideout and Owen shows his wall on how he narrowed it down to the location and says that the protocol would be to put the Black Box in a safe deposit box in a bank. Nikita sees several pictures and Owen tells that those are his victims and that he needs to remember them so that he will be strong to fight back. He tells that The Guardian is going to be trained better because they are killers who have the look of a killer and are ready to snap at any moment. Owen gets a headache and says that it is the Regimen, a series of pills to make him stronger. He crawls over to his meager supply and takes some. He says that The Guardian is going to be using too.

Alex goes into the interview room and Jaden laughs and tells that she is not going to be able to tell her lies to her and says that she has the entire Division fooled with her lies and the fact that Thom was an innocent person. Amanda watches as Alex tells that she is lying and that she needs to answer the questions about the mission. Amanda comes in and tells Jaden that she is free to go, but Alex is to stay. Meanwhile, Michael calls Nikita and Owen and says that he couldn’t get the name of The Guardian, but tells that there is a shipping container that might have some information. Nikita asks Michael if he knows anything about The Regimen. He tells that was a series of pills that Division discontinued and that if Owen is having withdrawals from it, Nikita needs to shoot him because he will start to over-obsess over the mission and pose a dangerous threat. She tells that she will be fine. They get to the storage unit and find that it is a base for the Cleaner to be able to make a body disappear. Owen tells that he had to make Daniel’s death be like a boating accident. Nikita tells that they are going to destroy the Black Box when they have it. Owen tells that they need to release the information, but Nikita says that will only cause chaos. Owen shows his anger and reveals that there is a camera. The Guardian watches and then sets off the detonator. Nikita and Owen escape just in time.

Michael goes into Percy’s office and tells that Owen is in London and wants to go there to get him. Percy agrees and tells that Nikita is there too and tells him to kill her too. He agrees. Meanwhile, Amanda meets with Amanda and she tells Alex that she is going to bring in the FMRI, a lie detector. Owen takes the last of the Regimen and Nikita says that they will help him wean off them. However, Nikita sees that Owen has taken it to the extreme when he takes off his shirt and has the same pictures tattooed. Owen tells that The Guardian knows that they are there. Nikita has Owen go back to Montreal in his mind. She narrows out the bank that The Guardian is going to go to and they go to it. Nikita tells Owen to stay in the car and Nikita goes toward the bank. The Guardian walks past her, but Owen recognizes the look that he has and starts to chase him. Nikita sees that he is running and starts to run too. They catch up to him and start to fight. Owen manages to throw The Guardian over the bridge. Nikita asks for the Black Box and Owen tells that he has to release the information. He tosses Nikita into an oncoming car and runs off. The Guardian emerges from the water and sees Owen running away too.

Back at Division, Birkhoff has Alex strapped to the FMRI and Amanda asks if she was in Percy’s office and she tells that she has never. Birkhoff tells that was a lie. Amanda tells that she can’t fool the machine. She tells that she was protecting Thom and says that Thom was in love with her and the machine picks up that she is telling the truth. She tells that she had to kill Thom because she knew he was the mole. Amanda tells that she is disappointed in Michael because he was Thom’s agent. Nikita gets back to the hideout to find Michael there. She tells that Owen has the box, but Michael says that he is not going to be able to transmit anything without The Guardian’s blood. Meanwhile, Owen steals a laptop and calls Percy up. He tells that he is going to release the information out and Birkhoff traces his call to St. Christopher’s Church. Michael gets the text and they go there. In the car, Amanda calls Michael and asks if he knew that Thom and Alex were having an affair together and Michael tells that he should have reported it, but didn’t see the harm in it. Amanda walks in and tells Alex that she can go. Alex asks if she is still on the list to be canceled and Amanda lies and says that she is not going to be canceled.

The Guardian and the team go into the church. Owen manages to take down the Guardian and kill him. He gets the blood from him and opens the Black Box. As he waits for a connection, Nikita and Michael walk in. They tell him not to do it and Michael tells that he has a clear shot if Nikita would move. Just as he tries to push the button to transmit, Michael shoots the box. Owen lunges at Michael. However, Michael gets the upper hand and knocks Owen unconscious. Michael calls in to Percy and tells that the Black Box is destroyed and tells that he is going to have to find a different way to protect his information. Later, Owen wakes up and Nikita is playing nurse again to him. She shows that she got him more of the Regimen and that he can wean himself off it. Owen tells that he is sorry about Daniel’s death and she tells that she forgives him. Nikita calls Alex and she asks where Nikita is. Nikita tells that she is in London and is going to come back soon. Alex tells that Amanda is thinking of canceling her and Nikita tells that they are going to have to do her extraction sooner than later. Alex tells that Michael protected her and Nikita tells that they need to talk about Michael. The episode ends.
